Could someone at the club stop Scowen from taking any further free kicks this season. They're embarrassing.

Shocking performance. In the big debate a few days ago I was saying that it was too late to sack the manager. Today was so dreadful that it has changed my mind. Of course he is not the only one to blame but it is clear now that we are definitely down if he stays so there really is nothing further to lose. You can't do nothing after a performance that bad and what is there but to sack him? Whoever came in couldn't be any worse. They would also have some time to get their feet under the desk before the trip to those equally happy bunnies at Wet Spam...

Awful first half and only improved by the sending off, which at least added a little edge to the game. Although Rs deserved to win this was a poor performance, struggling to hold on in the last 10 minutes against the bottom team reduced to 10 men. Not impressive. Holloway's comments about the Sunderland formation confusing the players doesn't inspire much confidence. The bottom team in the league with an appalling recent record, down to 10 men should have been beaten convincingly, whatever formation they played and the team should have adapted.

But a very encouraging performance from Eze - some lovely touches, but would be good if he didn't look quite so languid.

A paper thin squad cruelly exposed.

Something almost more important than the match itself happened today: it felt like Unity had been restored between fans, players, manager and the club itself

A bit slow to get going as they got used to the way Hughes wanted them to play but the second half was much more dominant. Let's not get too carried away as this was a L1 side (albeit a good one) but there seems to be more positivity in the side which they can carry forward to the West Ham game.
