Hats off to Puel. The game plan worked beautifully.
We should've scored at least 3, and I think we may regret that, but great victory nonetheless

Great team effort with a particularly strong well drilled team selected by Puel. A gutsy busy and dynamic performance by Redmond and even Clasie earned his pay. Yosh was almost equal to our star man VVD and our mid three harrassed and broke up every L'pool attack.

This was a good game, best game of the season for Saints and a performance that promises well for the rest of the season.

New signings? Not too sure who could be dropped/replaced on todays performance

aceofthebase, We still need to sign a good striker. Just think what the score would have been tonight if we had one.

Great effort from all on the pitch and a well judged side from Puel. Really stout defending and genuinely dangerous breaking out quickly - something we were so good at last year but which we've barely seen this season. I had a good feeling before the game and the team selection was promising and boy did the boys work hard - a masterclass at the back, especially from VVD and Maya. Davis was good throughout and, after a sluggish start Romeu was excellent.

The referee, however, was poor, giving everything their way and missing some appalling cheating from Sturridge, and giving two very cheap, almost spiteful bookings.

As for Sturridge - I'd hate for us to buy him. He's a nasty whinger and the most ludicrous diver in England and he's ENGLISH. How he stayed on the pitch?... He dived at least three times and two were definitely worth cards - if they weren't fouls, they had to be bookings. He's a loathsome cheat and I wouldn't feel comfortable supporting him if he were to be on our books. Thankfully after the dog's abuse he got tonight, he probably wouldn't want to come.

All round an excellent team performance, something that has been missing for a while now. Wonder why that is? Who was not present that could be a disruptive influence on the rest of the team? Any ideas?
Getting a bit concerned with Redmond's skills infront of goal. He should have scored 3 tonight. the goal, 1 he hit straight at their keeper and 1 the money grabbing croatian sh**bag cleared. He also seems to need to work on his tackling. He's either too timid and pulls out of challenges he should be winning or he goes over the top and gets penalized. Small gripes but hey its what we do.
As said by others PLEEEEEEEESE lets drop this rotation policy and use the same starting 11 on Saturday.

Best performance under Puel - we wanted it and worked very hard. Just the usual issues in converting chances. I would have bitten off the hand offering me a 1 goal win before the game and if Redmond had have scored the easy chance he missed to make it 2-0 there is no guarantee that Liverpool wouldn't have woken up and been better in the second half. The chance that hit the bar near the end could prove to be the turning point as Liverpool are still favourites.

I echo all those asking for the same team on Saturday.

Away performance of the season for me. Game plan spot on, players selected to do it and executed brilliantly. The only minor complaint is that QPR didn't find the net more then once, they had chances.
The last couple of weeks reminds me of that awful run in 2002, find a win to stop the rot somehow and build from there, this now the third three point haul on the spin and you can see the confidence ebbing through the players. I was disappointed at Chery and Polter leaving but as Holloway remarked last night, getting rid of those who don't want to be here has freshened the place up. Those that are willing to work hard are now reaping the rewards. Pavel Wszolek, where have you been all my life?
Darnell Furlong, the boy is now a man. Solid in defence and a threat going forward, a revelation this season. Ryan Manning, promising. I hope he continues to grow as a footballer because he certainly looks like a prospect. This is how I imagined a QPR in transition to look like, it's early days and there will undoubtedly be more defeats and setback along the way, but I really hope this momentum continues for the rest of the season.

Forster is shi te as is JWP and Redmond, always going to lose with the child playacting as an attacking midfielder. Puel is a Reed puppet.
