Odd tactics from RK once again. It is pretty obvious that Mane needs to play through the middle off Pelle so why not do it? Shane Long set the tone for a dismal first-half display when he lost control of a breakaway chance in the first minute. He went on to have a poor game but not nearly as bad as Steven Davis who, apart from a couple of interventions, had a mare. Jose spoilt an otherwise faultless performance with one of his reckless back passes, something Mane tried to emulate after being denied the chance of taking the penalty. Pelle was one of the few players who actually seemed interested from the off. Ryan Bertrand spent a lot of time shaking his head but did save us the embarrassment of conceding a goal with an off the line clearance. The team looked fresher when Ward-Prowse, Tadic and Elia came on but we can't start angainst Stoke or Spurs like we did today, and against Burnley. Rumour has it Clyne was on the bench due to being seen talking to Man U representatives at a charity do. After his recent performances he wasn't missed. Hull was one of the worst teams to play at St Mary's this season. Every chance they'll go down. Another less than satisfactory referee but I did think the Wanyama booking was reasonable.

Strange game and an odd decision to leave out Clyne, but Yosh coming into the back four didn't let us down though he showed on a couple of occasions his lack of pace.
A lot of passes went astray and we showed a lack of ambition in that final third. Pelle seemed to be sinking lower and lower... until the goal. Hopefully, the cork has popped now for him... and goals will flow again.
Did appear to be a lot of pumping the ball forward aimlessly at times where Pelle was getting continually bumped and harrassed (Not surprised he reacted and was a little lucky not to have seen red)
Second half much improved and with Prowsey spreading the ball nicely. Good bit of leadership, him being given the penalty from Mane. And he showed a ballsy penalty - much more confident than if Tadic had taken it I felt.
Let's face it. 3 points. School report reads... Could have done better but got the job done!
Super Kelv at the back very solid though his clearances aren't as good as

Two poor sides playing poor football. Our inability to keep possession or pass was highlighted again today. One or two players having an off day is one thing but 9!!!
Siggy, Routs & Jonjo all appeared wander around without much cohesion and Ki, Ash, Fed and Rangel looked like they'd never seen each other before. Our play lakes pace, accuracy or endeavour (apart from a short spell at the start an send of the game.)
IMO, the performance summed up our season - "It's better to be lucky than good,"

Very disappointing 1st half and I have to admit I got quite negative. Much improved with JWP replacing Victor. Some games just don't work with Morgan & Victor, we end up with a six man defence against teams where we don't need it. 2nd half much improved, pleased to see Graziano getting angry as it really seemed to motivate him. I think his hair almost moved at one point.

Jose and Maya had really good game. Toby offered more threat than Clyney of late. Kelvin gets a clean sheet.

Europe beckons.

At last the monkeys are off the back of JWP and Pelle

Great performance by the team and bar the lack of concentration in the 88th Minute we would have got at least a point. CR has clearly got the team organized and motivated. Was pleasing to see every player giving 100% and challenging for every ball. Phillips and Austiin had clearest chances to score and but for their goalie we could have had 2 goals....they had one clear chance and scored. Felt gutted at the end as well as exhausted voice gone...thought crowd did a fantastic job for the whole match gave team great support....shame about the idiots at the end....was pleased we gave Rob a Greenoo shout at the end he looked crestfallen head in hands...whilst a poor kick for the goal we were poor in getting back ...isla was looking the wrong way and got caught and fabregas beat three defenders

100% commitment on display but got done by one mistake! Sadly is it s pattern for us this season
Great performance and crowd but jsu did not have enough tp hold one for a precious point
Overshadowed by the minority at the end
Probably the the best performance at home this season

Very disappointing result, Kelvin big mistake and Davis in midfield struggled with his passing once more,Tadic seems lost out there again, did not understand the starting line up this week, not a lot of positives and Toby getting injured could be costly, still need a good result next against Spurs, it has been a great year so Coys....

Oh the frustration!! Very, very disappointing result. I have to admit Kelvin was poor for the first goal and maybe the second if he could get a clear sight of the shot as he seemed to dive for the ball as it was rebounding out of the goal..

At the moment, Tadic couldn't even assist me with the shopping! Davis' passing was poor. Credit to Morgan, I thought he was man of the match for us today. He was active in getting the ball from the back and trying to create or get it forward and control things. I thought Long might have come on earlier to mix things up. Not much point in bringing Elia on.Contributes little.

Did Toby dislocate his shoulder? Out for a couple of matchs anyway assume.

Like I say, very frustrating!!
