Hornets on Sunday 19:31 - Feb 24 with 282778 viewsEllDale

They’re tweeting that their “matchday operations” are being restricted for the home game against Barrow on Sunday for reasons that they don’t want to divulge at the moment.
The bottom line is that the crowd capacity is limited to 920 and there will be no cash admissions on the day.
Wonder what that’s all about?

Looks like some payments are in the process of being made which will allow Hornets the full capacity.

Good to see.

Slates the football club for months then posts a ‘praying’ emoji when he wants something.

Truly odious and pathetic man.

No need to pray.

A bit like the great man Mazey can "give us an R....."

That will mean he just need to pay.

You're not kidding. This sort of conversation should never take place on social media.

He should probably be praying that Rangi Chase isn't suspended by the RFL for threatening fans.

Click on that tweet as there's been another update just now, the boy Mazey really couldn't see class if it smacked him on the nose, what an absolute tool....
He's now chucking more shit around regarding "legal costs' not agreed with

If this game is on Sunday, surely tickets are on sale, so how many have been sold so far if the capacity hasn’t been confirmed?

What was the attendance at the last playoff game?

Playoffs have a lot more riding on them than normal games so attendances are usually higher.

I can see a lot from Oldham coming especially after Hornets hammered them in the away game.

In the Championship Shield at the end of the 2017 season Hornets were at home to Oldham in front of a crowd of 927, although it appears to be a Bank Holiday Weekend.

Poll: What is it to be then?

No.

I just put 20 in my cart and checked out to the point where 20 email addresses were requested and a £20 handling fee added to my total. For processing a purchase. Good luck with that.

I declined all.

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!

Not edifying from either to be fair in my opinion
Simon shouldn’t have responded on SM
Two overly strong Chairmen with their own views on what is right
and what is wrong. OK technically Simon is right
Is there not someone on either board who could work together in the
best interests of both clubs. Sundays game should /could be a way to
start building bridges if both sides compromise.
As it is both clubs seem to be losing out

There is no compromise , Hornets have to pay for the facilities they use...The football club are not a charity for the benefit of Hornets...

Indeed. Something that Hornets cultural heritage has a problem with, even on the most miniscule rent imaginable for such a venue.

Incur costs - pay them. It's the real world.

Take some hapless legal action and incur costs, for both sides ,and then sack it. You have to pay the costs all round. Real world.

Hornets might be in trouble here.

Some of Rangi's tweets are clearly threatening violence, are abusive, and in some cases appear to condone drug use (for which he has previously served a ban).

If any of these issues were screenshotted, linked and reported to compliance@rfl.co.uk there could (& probably should) be sanctions for the player as well as the club. I personally find it shocking that the Hornets hierarchy have not already moved to have these removed.

Not only that, but I have a feeling that families may be put off attending by the risk of a star player having a go at a paying spectator, with that spectator ending up 'eating through a straw'.

The RFL make a big deal of safeguarding etc, and proactively encourage people to email compliance@rfl.co.uk - an email address that is monitored daily.

I would have thought it would bring a bigger audience. The fan hardly covers himself in glory.

With all UK Sport looking very likely to be postponed this weekend as a mark of respect to the death of the Queen, a rearranged date for the Hornets game on Sunday now looks inevitable.

Playoffs usually have fixed final dates so it could even need to be a midweek fixture to keep to the RFL's timetable.
