They’re tweeting that their “matchday operations” are being restricted for the home game against Barrow on Sunday for reasons that they don’t want to divulge at the moment.
The bottom line is that the crowd capacity is limited to 920 and there will be no cash admissions on the day.
Wonder what that’s all about?

Hornets won in the end and finished with 10 men v Cornwalls 11.

Sounds feisty.

Funny isn’t it.
I thought they’d sacked the coach because of bad on field discipline,.
Can’t blame him for this one can they?
I also wonder if, out of all the people who have been abusive on social media today bemoaning the alleged treatment of the town’s professional rugby league club, any of them actually go to matches?

I've just read that on Twitter, almost word for word.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

It wasn’t even copy and paste. Just too lazy to alter the wording!

I commented earlier that some Hornets fans on Twitter are not helping them, and to be fair, people on Twitter such as 'Rochdale AFC Fan Page' are doing the football club no favours. Some of the comments are just silly. We can all have a go and a good laugh at Mazy for his 'wine o' clock' rants but some of the incoherent ramblings of 'Fan Page' are just as bad.

Hmmmmm. Head of recruitment gone on to club spokesperson? What happened to fan/life balance?

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!

Come on then, Andy, (we know you read this board) put it on the table. You’re not a liar after all.

What are the full facts?

RAFC wanted £6,000 to keep the sign and they also wanted £70,000 to allow the Fiji game to go ahead I believe.

So there had been discussions between RAFC & RH about the sign?

Did somebody within Hornets not consult Andy Mazey so it came as a surprise to him? Or did he choose to put that tweet out despite knowing the sign was being changed?

Integrity indeed.

We've had a few Hornets fans (not that many exist) on here who "believe" or have "heard" things that turn out to have no basis in fact and be nothing more than inflammatory statements. Like the so-called "Morton House" crew. Or bury fans when they had a club.

Oh dear. This 'Billy Brennan' is doing Hornets about as much good as RFP has been doing for us, but not convinced this is a clever response from their player...

This is also a fairly wild accusation...

Working till 2.00pm on 8th October so will struggle to get to Newport but will still have time to get to the Shay to watch Tonga play France in a RL World Cup warmup match. All facilitated by the local council.

Did anybody go to the Hornets fans forum at the Flyer last night? Just wondering how the "Open and Transparent" Mr Mazey explained the financial position of Hornets and the use of COA to the fans. Assuming anybody showed up.

The silence is deafening.
There is no mention of the proceedings on their forum and the chairman doesn’t seem to mention it on his Twitter feed.

I was in the Flying Horse last night and can confirm the forum went ahead, was well attended and went on until after 10pm.

I met Andy Mazey briefly and he was very polite and apologised he couldn't hang around.

A friend of mine and big Hornets fan was with us during our brief chat and when Andy left my friend told me the meeting had grilled Andy and Steve and they did not back out of answering any question. They had provided financial information and future projections. There was discussion about local links and community etc.

Poll: What is it to be then?
