A nice documentary of the fall of Azovstal and the capture of those non Nazis (albeit with Nazi tattoos) who came out all claiming to be anything but combatants. And the misery THEY inflicted on the local population.
I hope their trials for war crimes deal them the justice they deserve.
See, there are people complaining of personal insults being thrown around on here, but I consider anyone who is posting Russian State TV videos as 'documentaries' and openly trying to excuse Russian invasion and/or deby warcrimes to be truly disgraceful. We know what Russian State Media is about. We know they are legally bound by the Russian government to provide a certain narrative, we know what their state TV anchors are about and how close they are to Putin, and we have the videos of their genocidal rants where they laugh about the suffering of Ukrainians and speak of the need to wipe Ukraine off the map to 'take back old land' (as well as many other things).
If it were up to me then anyone at all pushing Kremlin propaganda, given what is happening, would be immediately be banned from any Swans site. It is absolutely shameful. But then I'm not a site owner. And personally if I got banned for giving my thoughts on any of this then I couldn't care less...it obviously wouldn't be the site for me.
Note, I saw a post of yours about Iraq deaths but can't see it any longer. You seem to have posted this in response to me saying that I disagree with the Iraq war but that Russians are worse because their war crimes and genocidal aims come from the top. I totally stand by this. I am critical of the US invasion of Iraq. It was wrong and destabilised a country. Even though Sadam Hussein was a b*stard, it would have been better for him to have stayed. There were war crimes commited by US soldiers (e.g. Abu Ghraib) as unfortunately seems to happen in all wars but it is clear that with Russia it is far more widespread involving Nazi Germany like tactics as can be seen documented in detail in the recent OSCE report. We know that Russia openly rewarded those troops who were in the locations that such war crimes were commited (rather than putting them on trial), and we know why they do this, because their state TV is quite open about their hatred for 'Ukrainian nationalists'...that is, anyone who wants Ukraine to exist as a country and fights back against their invasion.
I notice that you wanted to use civilian death figures over many years since the war started. That is dishonest because of the time period used. It should also be noted that it includes deaths from all causes (like those from infrastructure collapse - this will also be huge in Ukraine) and deaths caused by insurgents in the later years too. If we look at Mariupol alone, the civilian death toll there, purely as a result of Russian bombing will have been huge. In the tens of thousands. A totally destroyed city and clear evidence of new mass graves in a number of places. Russia has repeated those methods throughout the areas they have invaded in the East.
I think you absolutely hate being called out on not being 'anti imperialist' when it's an Eastern country doing it. It sounds like I was correct when I questioned whether you were of a certain far left orientation because unfortunately I've seen too many Kremlin propagandist spreaders in this camp. Your hatred for the US and NATO in particular makes you a useful tool for Putin, Lavrov and their fellow war criminal pals.

Rather I'd say that Russia is an extremely authoritarian and fascist state (not to mention an enemy one), led by the clearest of war criminals and that we should be doing a lot more to stamp out anyone who supports them or assists them by spreading their propaganda. Western governments and social media have been far too weak on high profile Kremlin propagandists who should have had their accounts deleted long ago and anyone who earned money from it should have been investigated further. Finally, platforms like YouTube are demonetising the most awful Kremlin propagandists like Jackson Hinkle (who literally sold Kremlin Z-marked t-shirts)....I very much enjoyed seeing Hinkle crying about this...but it's not enough...they still have ways to make money by working for Russia and through platforms like Patreon, and that should not be possible.

Unfortunately for you my 'denials' are backed up also with statistics plus I have visited and know people from the region. And any fighting in the East came as a result of Russia's 2014 invasion.
You absolutely can and should clamp down on enemy sympathisers in a wartime situation, particularly where Russia is known for using any means possible to influence and destabilise.
