Apparently. Cue a few days of outraged reaction until Oldham change their mind.

Such a shame Dimi has gone back to his old ways, was starting to warm to him.

This thread has gone exactly where everyone with a modicum of decency knew it would.

Some absolutely vile people in this world, plenty of them in this here thread.

Pigs.

So much easier to fire off an unguided missile in a random direction than have to articulate specific gripes with specific people and arguments, isn't it?

Because that would involve having to come up with something more substantive than; "mild -- isn't it just awful", the difficulty of which this 14 pager is a resounding testament to.

listening to the radio last night I was quite saddened that some had boiled this whole saga down to Oldham not being able to turn down a three million pound footballer on the cheap regardless of what he's done that makes him available on the cheap. I know football fans are a strange breed but it was really sad to hear how some people had rationalized this mess into some minor he said she said no big deal nobody died situation.

I dread to think of the media frenzy come his first game when he walks out of the tunnel. the atmosphere is going to be poison from the opposition fans and sections of oldham fans I'd imagine. this circus seems set to run and run and run. I hope Oldham are happy with the bed they are about to lay in and I hope poor old Ched can manage on 10K a month he's set to earn. All the while the victim in this is vilified by strangers for getting drunk

Blimey. I'm not sure to start with the comparison of petty theft with rape, or the insinuation that footballers couldn't possibly rape women.

If Evans is guilty he has served his time.
He clearly believes he is not guilty but that is not proven.

The bag Dyer took could have contained valuable items owned and could have resulted in a custodial sentence if there had also been violence involved to aggravate.

As Evans is guilty and shows no remorse it is for the courts to decide, not the public or the football association.
Playing football is not a sport where an individual needs a clean record.

Evans is still on license isn't he? Still which is part of his sentence.

There is no old ways, i have always posted what I think and posted honestly. Its a bit silly to say someone is a good poster when you agree and not when you don't. Im afraid that has never changed and never will.

By all means put forward a counter to what i am saying and asking. Strange that is so outlandish yet not one post has come back with any sort of explanation or indeed any constructive reasoning.

Shame, thought you were better than that. Seems you have slipped into your old ways.

No he hasn't. He's still serving his sentence.

I can't believe you're actually comparing the two. Next you'll be saying there's no issue with Evans signing for us because Trundle forgot to pay his TV license once.

No actually, I can believe it. Some of the comments on this thread have been quite sickening.

Maybe you can share with us the proof that categorically proves Ched raped the girl then?

Surely if someone is kind enough to post this, then these "sickening" comments and questions will surely cease?

It seems the amount of "SICKENING!" and "OUTRAGE!" comments here without actually addressing the matter in hand, there are a lot of people going with the red top paper technique of buzzwords, outrage and nit a lot of substance.

"I am grateful for the support of the PFA in helping me try to return to football and continue my career.

Upon legal advice, I was told not to discuss the events in question. This silence has been misinterpreted as arrogance and I would like to state that this could not be further from the truth.

I do remain limited at present by what I can say due to the ongoing referral to the Criminal Cases Review Commission and whilst I continue to maintain my innocence, I wish to make it clear that I wholeheartedly apologise for the effects that night in Rhyl has had on many people, not least the woman concerned.

Finally, it has been claimed that those using social media in an abusive and vindictive way towards this woman are supporters of mine. I wish to make it clear that these people are not my supporters and I condemn their actions entirely and will continue to do so."

Ha. You keep the moral outrage going champ.

That first sentence sums your views up beautifully. See, if you'd stuck to querying the logic of the law I'd have kept agreeing with you. Still, you carry on.

So you cannot respond then?

Funny how many people express their outrage only to cut and run when they get asked to substantiate.

"RAAAPE!!", "OUTRAGE!!"

Feel free to come back when you are willing to offer something actually worthwhile to the debate. Like the proof for conviction would be a nice start.

The accused doesnt have to prove he didnt do it.

The prosecution has to prove he did.

Innit. He's only saying it now because people are rightly giving him grief over it.

By the way, you can carry on the debate with Shaky and Dimi if/when they reply to this.
