Compelling match against the Crusaders. Farrell looks a class class act.

Still?

No. I left in '97 and joined Lensbury (in Teddington), which eventually morphed into Harlequins Amateurs.
I played vets until about 5 years ago when I was 47. And then the left knee refused to let me sprint anymore.

Ha! As my knee ops racked up I moved from the wing towards the scrum with each one. Sprinting is now in my past but I have trouble giving up tackling. And Guinness tastes better after playing than it does after watching.

I am still Steve but no longer in Dagenham.

Well here we go. No one in NZ expected tonights game at Eden Park to be the decider. The All Black forwards will throw everything at the Lions pack and I think this is where the game will be won or lost. The Lions backs have been a pleasant surprise, and it will be interesting to see how a new All Black backline gels. ABs by 10.

Just about to head off to stadium.
Crowd is about 50:50 based on previous two tests which is unheard of here.
Weather shouldn't be a factor.
Huge game for Barrett's - both Jordy at 15 & Beauden at 10.
Savea to have a stormer.
Hope ref plays lesser role than last week

Incredible theatre and whilst a drawn series feels unsatsfactory it is a huge achievement. A team on a 45 match winning streak managed to only win one out of three at home to the Lions.

It was an all blacks penalty at the end though.

Yes it was but 240 minutes of rugby were played and perhaps not a bad result. Strange feeling at the end there - Hansens kissing your sister quote about right.

In the thread on selection I said Davies was a lucky man to be on the plane and he has probably ended up player of the series so what do I know.

Glad it was a physical game without too much dark arts. I think the 2011- 2017 era of the ABs almost having a game won before they start because of the aura they exhibited may be over now which is good for rugby.

Great sportsmanship by both captains as well,

Been a great tour & great tourists who'll be missed next week.
AB's butchered opportunities in first half and were made to pay by Lions side who never slackened off.
Barrett has looked vulnerable kicking last two tests after brilliant first effort & think his brother will take over.
Really odd feeling at the end - ref bottled it - shame his mate didn't do same in Wellington. Would've been harsh call but...
Well played Lions & bit of work to do for our lot which won't be a bad outcome.

Daly's penalty at the start of the second half was just, plain amazing!

My wish is we get to see Test Matches played in the middle of the day again. This series has been a mistake fest because of night rugby. In saying that must congratulate the Lions on coming over here and drawing the series. Thought you hung in there last night and in Farrell you have a match winner with his kicking ability. I thought the All Blacks looked rusty throughout the test series, maybe due to the Lions good defence. Really liked the look of Itoje and O'Brien in the forwards and Murray and Davies in the backs. Jordie Barret had a good debut for the ABs. Rugby was the winner I guess.

I ended up in a Wetherpoons watching it on my phone so I don't have the same level of detail of analysis this time out

Overall though, a top series, and a humdinger of a decider. They threw everything at each other. God I love the Lions.

Also Read and Warburton are both absolute gentlemen aren't they. An absolute pleasure to have the sport represented by those two guys
