First the Sultan, now Bono. All we need now is Katie Price and Kendo Nagasaki to join in and we have the makings of a rival to Mrs Brown's Boys.

Warren Farm gets go ahead for QPR on 16:13 - Jun 13 with 1880 views | Ashdown_Ranger | Latest 'news' (ie, no news...) On the offish: "In March the opposers had a planning Judicial Review rejected but took up the 28-day option to submit a Supreme Court Appeal. QPR and Ealing Council have since lodged an objection to this Appeal and are now awaiting the outcome. CEO Lee Hoos told www.qpr.co.uk: “It is a frustrating time for the club, the fans, Ealing Council and the local community, who stand to benefit from the facilities we will be providing. “We would expect to hear in the coming months whether our arguments against their Supreme Court submission have been successful. “We will provide a further update as soon as we are in a position to do so.” Councillor Julian Bell, Leader of Ealing Council, said: “The plans for Warren Farm will see millions of pounds invested in community sports facilities so it is disappointing to see delays, particularly as the opposers’ challenge has already been turned down by the High Court and the Court of Appeal. “We remain committed to working alongside QPR to ensure that these plans go ahead. “I am confident that we have secured the best deal for local people at no cost to local council tax payers. “Once the site is up-and-running, QPR will implement a significant community sports development programme which focuses on encouraging local people, particularly young women, older people and people with disabilities, to get involved in sport.” So, still 'several months' until we even hear if our appeal against the appeal is successful... I think Hoos' statement means they still don't know. The objectors have applied to take the case to the Supreme Court. The club has appealed against their right to do so. So we're waiting on a ruling as to whether or not the case is allowed to go to the Supreme Court. If it is allowed, then presumably there'll be another inordinately long long wait for the case to be heard there... 'kin 'ell...

IF they are allowed to go to the SC, then we still have to wait for the SC ruling. I think L block's hat is safe for a good while yet! Plus mark for the club - Paul Morrissey did take the trouble to send me an email with the link to the story - well done him.
