"UKRAINE has obliterated one of Vladimir Putin's prized Black Sea submarines in an impressive attack on occupied Crimea.
Kyiv forces said the prized Kilo-class Rostov-on-Don submarine, worth £275 million, was hit in a strike on the Sevastopol port."
"Ukraine's attack on Friday also “significantly damaged” four of Putin’s ultramodern S-400 air defence systems - worth in total around £2 billion.
Kyiv claimed the missile barrage also targeted four vital launches of Russia's "Triumf" air defence system.
The Kilo-class Rostov submarine - used to fire calibre class missiles on Ukraine - had been hit in September 2023, but was then repaired.
Dramatic pictures showed the gaping hole ripped into its side after a barrage of Storm Shadow missiles bypassed air defence systems to blast naval docks in Sevastopol.

I would imagine it’s the most heavily guarded border in the world considering it’s on a frontier of a war zone. You can’t break through heavily guarded borders mun!
It wasn't heavily guarded that's the point. You can't heavily guard something that size.

Well perhaps in hindsight they should have heavily guarded it?
How would you heavily guard something the long?
This is my opinion , and it's just that, not the usual facts that I post
Russia has excellent vision of everything on the battlefield, they can see everything with their satellites, radar, drones etc, nothing can move without them knowing.
This has been planned for months with the help of NATO. Russia knew it was coming and led them into a trap, an ambush or whatever we want to call it. Whatever happens the Ukrainian units will be destroyed, but this way there will be less Russian casualties.

It’s complacency. No more no less. Your suggestion that the Russians deliberately let the Ukrainians conquer vast swathes of their land leading to a declaration of a state of emergency and the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of people is up there with the most batshit crazy things you have ever posted.

They haven't conquered vast swathes of Russia at all. They couldn't stop the incursion as the border is too long to guard, but they didn't defend it at source, just as the Japs didn't always defend the pacific islands on the beaches, but let the Yanks be drawn further inland. It's a recognized defensive tactic that's been well used. You obviously have no imagination.
These are the very best of the Ukrainian army, the elite who have been trained by NATO. When these are defeated it would be a great result for the Russians

There’s a huge difference between some insignificant rock in the middle of the pacific with a population of seven fishermen to the Russian motherland.
If only we’d have tried this during the war. No point faffing about with any of this Battle of Britain nonsense, we should have let the Germans just march into London unopposed then smash them there. It’s a fantastic defensive tactic.

They have penetrated about 13 miles into Russia with a few thousand troops in almost a week. Only another 200 miles to Moscow

Ever heard of the Maginot or siegfried line , where there's a will there's a way . Look at Poland's border fenced off in its entirety, it looks like the russian hierarchy also have no imagination.

This guy does have very good credentials. He's not some random blogger.
He's a favourite of Fox news and Tucker Carlson, he was considered by trump to be national security advisor and he's appeared a few times on "Russia Today"
he has also been very disparaging towards Ukraine.
I'll concede that he has the military credentials but politically he's a right wing loony.
taken from wiki,
"Underclass" and slavery In a 2013 radio appearance, Macgregor spoke of an "entitled" "underclass" of people that were concentrated in "large urban areas", and the threat he said they posed: "And when the food stamps stop, when the free services end, when the heating bills aren't paid and the heating doesn't come through in many of these large cities—Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, Washington, Baltimore, St. Louis, Detroit, New Orleans, San Francisco, Los Angeles—this underclass that resides in these places, I think could become very violent."[7]
In 2019, he argued for the myth that there were more white, mostly Irish "slaves" than African slaves in America in the late 1700s.[41]
Immigration A CNN report in 2020 said Macgregor had often used racist comments and had "demonized immigrants and refugees". It quoted Macgregor as alleging that Mexican cartels were "driving millions of Mexicans with no education, no skills and the wrong culture into the United States". It noted that Macgregor had "repeatedly advocated instituting martial law at the US-Mexico border and to 'shoot people' if necessary".[42] Another CNN report said he had described Muslim migrants in Europe as "unwanted invaders", arriving "with the goal of eventually turning Europe into an Islamic state".[7]
In 2019, on the Conservative Commandos radio show, Macgregor alleged that George Soros was financing the transportation of foreigners to the United States, purportedly to destroy American culture; he made similar claims about Soros on Lou Dobbs' Fox show.[24] In April 2021, on Frank Morano's radio show, Macgregor blamed the Democratic Party for non-European immigration purportedly to "outnumber the numbers of Americans of European ancestry".[43] Such comments by Macgregor were described by Maddow Blog, Media Matters for America, and Insider as a version of Great Replacement Theory.[44][45][46][47]
Kosovo War In 2014, Macgregor went on Russian state-owned RT and criticized U.S. intervention in the Kosovo War in the late 1990s.[7] He described the results of US intervention in Kosovo as to "put, essentially, a Muslim drug mafia in charge of that country".[5]
NATO In a 2016 presentation to military students, Macgregor said that "old alliances like NATO may vanish", arguing that it is "time to reexamine U.S. investment in 'allies' that are doing too little to secure their own sovereign interests" and that the "Cold War ended 27 years ago".[48]
Israel Macgregor has made statements in support of Israel having defensible borders, the annexation of the Golan Heights, and the decision to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem.[49] On several occasions he has said that U.S. support for Israel is due to the "Israeli lobby" making top officials "very, very rich".[50][51][52][53][54]
Ukraine and Russia 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea In 2014, after the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation and during a conflict with Ukraine over its eastern parts, Macgregor appeared on Russian state-owned network RT where he called for annexation of Donbas and said residents of the region "are in fact Russians, not Ukrainians, and at the same time, you have Ukrainians in the west and in the north, who are not Russians".[7][55]
2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine After Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Macgregor appeared on three Fox News programs in February and early March to speak in support of Russia's actions. Three days after the war began, he said "The battle in eastern Ukraine is really almost over," and predicted "If [Ukraine] don't surrender in the next 24 hours, I suspect Russia will ultimately annihilate them." Macgregor said he believed Russia should be allowed to seize whatever parts of Ukraine it wanted. In his second appearance, he revised his prediction: "The first five days Russian forces I think frankly were too gentle. They've now corrected that. So, I would say another 10 days this should be completely over... I think the most heroic thing he could do right now is come to terms with reality. Neutralize Ukraine." After one of his appearances, Macgregor's comments were characterized by veteran Fox News Pentagon correspondent Jennifer Griffin as "distorting" and "appeasement" and that he was being an "apologist" for Putin. After Griffin's remarks, Tucker Carlson — who hosted Macgregor on two successive nights — remarked, "Unlike many of the so-called reporters you see on television, he is not acting secretly as a flack for Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon. No, Doug Macgregor is an honest man." Trey Gowdy, another Fox News host who interviewed Macgregor, said his viewpoint was "stunning and disappointing".[8][56][57][58][9][59]
Russian state television channels RT and VGTRK broadcast excerpts of Macgregor's second Carlson appearance, which included a characterization of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a "puppet," that Russian forces had been "too gentle" in the early days of the invasion and that Russian president Vladimir Putin was being "demonized" by the United States and NATO.[8][60] His opinions on Russia and Ukraine have caused controversy, with some including Liz Cheney describing Macgregor as being a member of the "Putin wing of the GOP."[61][62][63][64][65]
In a fourth appearance in early March, Macgregor said a ceasefire was close as Ukrainian forces had been "grounded to bits. There's no question about that despite what we report on our mainstream media".[8] He also defended Russia's invasion in an interview on The Grayzone, saying Putin had taken great care with civilians and this was delaying his victory.[66]
In July 2022, on Real America's Voice he told Charlie Kirk that: "The war, with the exception of Kharkiv and Odesa, as far as the Russians are concerned is largely over. There is no intention to do anything else because the Russians don’t have a very large army... This nonsense that Putin wants to conquer all of Ukraine was never true. All he ever did in the Minsk agreement was ask that Russian speakers, Russian citizens inside Ukraine be treated equally before the law. That they not be penalized for being Russians."[67]
In September 2022, he again predicted on Carlson's show that “this war may be over soon”[68] and later in the month "the Ukrainian army is bled white, tens of thousands of Ukrainian troops have been killed or wounded, Ukraine is really on the ropes". Liz Cheney tweeted in response: "Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch - Why do you continually put Douglas MacGregor on @FoxNews to spread Putin's propaganda and lies? This is absolutely not in America's interest."[69][additional citation(s) needed]

The border is guarded but Ukraine chose the weakest point. The FSB is quite a large organisation.
If it was a trap then why has Putin withdrawn troops from the Ukraine to bring back t Russia to help fight this incursion? Surely f it's a trap the forces were already in place, waiting? Just like the Japanese were in the Pacific.
Maybe I'm wrong but I thought you'd said along while back that Ukraine was short of seasoned troops because that was Putins plan, to attrite Ukraines army so they weren't a threat yet here we are, many months later and now Ukraine has elite troops again.
What if they aren't defeated? After all the plan seems to be to merely draw toops away from Eastern Ukraine (which may not have worked as much as they hoped) to ease pressure on the front line. The plan has always been to invade, cause trouble then have an orderly retreat.
Though why I'm bothering, I don't know, you'll just make something else up.

If you dont guard/surveil an active battlefront border... you mine it in this case they did have some drone surveillance but they were negated by EW and Russia did not have the resources to investigate.
I've schooled you before about Russia's satellite surveillance - theyhave VERY little, they are almost certainly the drop the film from space type and I believe that they have persuaded a "friendly" nation to LOAN them one. Their drone surveillance, as Ive already said were negated by EW.
If, as you claim it is a trap set by Russia please explain why they are letting the Ukrainian air force do ground attack runs in Russian territory without being taken down!!! The NATO help was training them in combined arms maneuver warfafare and probably competent satellite intelligence.
Additionally there has been a bit of footage of Russian formation casualties but I've yet to see ukrainian ones. It is widely reported that they have taken around 2000 russians prisoner and distributed humanitarian aid to russian civilians. They've not levveled to the ground Russian villages like Putin and his butchers and it was reported that many russian units reported the positions of the Akhmat battalion to Ukraine forces via Telegram - the Chechens are hated by all.

Total nonsense! I'm about to school you . You can't mine something that is 1200 miles long. It's not a static front line either it's moving all the time. So your point is nonsense.
The Russian space programmer is very advanced. Until recently, they were the only nation that could ferry astronauts to the international space station
They have 220 satellites at the moment, the even managed to disable Elon Musks starlink system
The Ukranian air force is non existent, it's why they have been begging for f16s. I believe the Netherlands have just given them some useless ones
The Reason Russia has evacuated civilians, which any country would do under the circumstances , is because the Ukraine is shelling civilian areas. They als mired missiles at the Nuclear power station, but fortunately Russia shot them down
Lesson for today ended.I hope you learned something, but I doubt it

Some post that So Ukrainian giving humanitarian aid to people whose country try has invaded them . What sort of soldiers are they ? You’ ll be suggesting next they are not raping and pillaging civilians ,which is what Russia is so good at . Experts in fact throughout time .
Ukraine and its people are truly something special ,in a good way . They will not give in and Vlad had better realise that .
The suggestion is that the Russians have put a dummy decoy submarine in the same inlet that contains the camouflage net and the remains of the real sub in order to confuse. I cannot post the pictures from Telegram, but posters there are claiming that the dummy is noticeably shorter than the real thing and that a shadow projecting from the net area is the tail of the submerged wreck. Probably we will have more definitive information in due course,

No answers to the rest of it?
Now I'm not sure that the last few months were the bloodiest. There were plenty of bloody moments all through the war, The battles of Kursk and Kharkov, the battles for Moscow and Stalingrad, Luzon, Narva, Monte Cassino, the invasion of France and the Battle of the Bulge.
Operation Barbarossa itself was a very bloody time, just ask the Russians. Then ask the Germans when the Russians came steamig back the other way.

The last few months were the bloodiest for the American army. The Germans didn't surrender Berlin lightly either. Japs too didn't want to stop fighting. This is all basic stuff. The point being, they fought to the end despite knowing they had lost the war.

Maybe you should be more specific then, it might help.
Not all of them fought to the end and some even fought past the surrender (out in Czechslovakia) and even with that, there were several attampts to assassinate the fuhrer.
Ukraine will fight to the end because their land has been illegally invaded by a hyper aggresive dictator, it's hardly a revelation. However a lot of Russians are dodging the draft, runnung away and hiding and we know Putin clamps down on those who tell the truth. So your point is moot.
Still no response to the other points?

Russia doesn't need conscripts, they have enough willing volunteers. It's Ukraine that is using press gangs to conscript men, the current average age is 47. They have even asked countries to extradite refugees back to fight
