Official Matchday Thread : Middlesbrough v Swansea City GAME DAY 06:41 - Nov 30 with 10332 views | NotLoyal | Middlesbrough v Swansea City Wednesday 2nd December 2020 Kick Off 7pm Riverside Stadium Match Officials KEITH STROUD Steven Meredith and Paul Hodskinson Fourth Official : Jarred Gillett TV / Radio 🔴 LIVE ON SKY SPORTS RED BUTTON & SKY GO 🔴 âš«ï¸ LIVE ON SWANS TV LIVE âš«ï¸ Ref Watch The referee for this game is Keith Stroud who has already been an official at one game this season, at Coventry in Birmingham. That game ended 1-1. Last season Stroud was the official at the Liberty when Leeds won 1-0 and at WBA where the swans also lost. The other game he managed last season was home to Reading, the final score was 1-1. What is a smog / smoggie / smoggy ? This is a Boro term given to them whenever that happened. Probably when they had steelworks and jobs. It probably happened in the past, and was considered an offensive term until Steve Gibson took over the club and wouldn’t sign a manager unless his name was Brian. Most people who live in Middlesbrough are called Brian. Like Clough but not as talented. Boro folk have their own vocabulary which is called a name. You too can speak smog Saying “like” after everything Every word ending in 'ter' being replaced with an 'a' — butter, matter, batter etc "Ee-ya mate" Means Ee-ya mate, can ya go in the shop for us? Tickle my bum ya get. Means I’m a bit fruity but I’m still hard. "Yerjokinarnyer?" - The response when answering the point above. "Nithered" - I’m a tad cold. "Giz a croggy" Can ya Giz a croggy over the border mate? Me bike's been nicked. Can you please let me ride on the handlebars of your bike while you pedal to the other side of town friend? My bike has been stolen. A lot of things get stolen in the Boro of smog, like Townhill or Prestonpans. Boro fans like to be a bit tasty, not like a food taster but like a pretty difficult to fight sort of man ( and woman) due to the fact they are hard as a hard thing. Biffa Bacons ma wasn’t from Middlesbrough, so she would have probably beaten them all up. Top 5 Boro facts 1. Sex was banned in Middlesbrough in 1964. 2. Most people go to Newcastle for sex due to the fact it’s in Sunderland. Anyone who has been to the big market will vouch for this. Or cattle market as smoggies refer to it. 3. Boro has five sex shops that sell everything from aubergines to flaky cheese. 4. A flaky bellend is what most men have in Middlesbrough. Nobody knows why but rumour and speculation will tell you it’s because of the cheese. 5. The oldest person to have sex in Middlesbrough was Dorothy Twerp who saddled fifteen men in Redcar last Sunday. She is 99. Dorothy Twerp when she was 82 ready for a romantic night out in Redcar And there’s a game too ... Match facts 1. Middlesbrough have lost six of their last nine matches against Swansea in all competitions (W1 D2). 2. Swansea have won their last three league matches against Middlesbrough, their best winning run against them. 3. Neil Warnock has won six of his nine home Football League matches against Swansea City (D2 L1), winning with Scarborough, Notts County, Huddersfield, Crystal Palace and QPR. 4. Swansea’s Andre Ayew has been directly involved in four goals in two league appearances against Middlesbrough (3 goals, 1 assist). 5. Middlesbrough have won four of their seven home games in the Championship this season (D2 L1), only two fewer than the Teesiders managed under Jonathan Woodgate through the majority of last season (6 wins in 20 games). Teams to follow.

I think Warnock must have lived too close to Eddie "It's an up and under" Waring and he heard the phrase so many times it became his football philosophy. Warnock hails from Sheffield and he does look a bit Eagle like, maybe he should have chased the egg instead.

Official Matchday Thread : Middlesbrough v Swansea City on 22:29 - Nov 30 with 3504 views | AndyCole | Likely to start with our strongest team, so no change from the Forest set-up. Was surprised we had only Manning and Cabango as the defensive options on the bench, so expect Cullen out of the squad with Latibeaudiere replacing him. Would like to see Fulton push on into 2nd phase possession and play closer to Ayew - they have a great understanding. We've lost a bit of the zip we had esp in the middle, so hoping we press and hunt in packs where even the likes of traditionally deep-lying Grimes was often seen pressing central defenders. If they can all emulate Ayew's marauding menace we should be comfortable winners - and Warnock won't know what hit him. 1-3

Strong bench for Luton, I can see Cullen starting.

Official Matchday Thread : Middlesbrough v Swansea City on 13:26 - Dec 1 with 3358 views | 34dfgdf54 | With their defence being decent I'd like to see us go with a player in 10 role, don't want to go there looking for the 0-0. Bennett tasked on keeping Assombalonga quiet. I'd probably chuck Cabanago back in for Naughton also, you'd expect a warnock team to be sharp on set pieces and Naughton would become a target.

I'd probably take that if offered it now, with Watford away at Forest and Reading at Sheff Weds I could see a point taking us to 3rd.

Lowe, or even Ayew actualy can't be asked to play twice a week, every week, they get through a large amount of running per game I would guess.
