Yoshida In Quarantine !

Maya Yoshida recently made a return to England from Italy where he is on loan with Sampdoria to visit his family and on his return has been placed into quarantine.

It has been reported that Saints central defender Maya Yoshida has recently travelled back to England to visit his family, how long that trip was has not been clarified, however on his return to Italy he has been subjected to quarantine restrictions due to the Corona Virus measures in place and that means he will have to spend the first two weeks back in the country under quarantine.

Whether that is in a specialist unit or if he will be able to serve that time isolated at home is unclear, but he is unable to go out even if the current restrictions in place allow it.

The 31 year old who will be out of contract in the summer has had a slow start to his time at Sampdoria in Serie A since joining on the eve of the transfer window closing in January, he was not in the squad for the first game he was eligible for, presumably because he had not had time to train with his new colleagues etc and then was an unused substitute in the next two games before finally making his debut against Hellas Verona, this being the last game before football in Italy was suspended.

Given the fact that he has now returned to Ital may signify that football in Italy could be about to start to look at restarting in the next six weeks giving him plenty of time to serve his quarantine time and also get back into a fitness regime and training.

Swansea City to a man : A total unprofessional embarrassment
Swansea City presented another pathetic performance to the travelling Jacks, some of whom had taken seven hours to get to the game today. The lack of effort was almost a V’ sign to head coach, Luke Williams and if that is the case we have some troubling times ahead of us.
