Breaking news: The owners are about to sign off on a total revamp of Loftus Road, which will centre on digging down 30 feet to create a hypermodern stadium.

Now that sound like a good idea :)

opposite willesden junction station the land behind the fishermans arms is being used as a hs2 store yard , it is 4 times the size of loftus road and hs2 have no plans to build on it , this is the perfect site if we cant rebuild loftus rd

Wormholt Park,

Surprisingly larger plot of land than Loftus Road Stadium (if Google Maps is right),

Could do a land-swap with the Council and our plot could be an extension of BBC Park (if its still called that),

Sure Batman Close could be master-planned and re-purposed as part of an enlarged BBC Park.

Think a new team is the more pressing issue - and people who know how to assemble one. Despite its run down state, LR is quite a decent stadium for where we are heading at the moment.

Wasps are planning a new stadium somewhere along the M40 corridor
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2023/apr/13/wasps-plan-new-wasps-nest-stadium-

If that includes the A40 it could potentially be anywhere from the Westway to South Wales. It'll be interesting to see where it is.

As thinking earlier about expanding Loftus Road. Now by all accounts the council will be happy to offer us the land that is Jack Tizzard school if the school manages to relocate. That is a decent bit of land. Now, maybe this could be used to develop apartments, enough to accommodate those residents who currently occupy the flats adjacent to SAR. If so then potential a land swap and a flat swap could be possible those moving the lie of SAR north slightly towards the A40 giving QPR the opportunity to. Move the ground across the existing lie of SAR. Thus being about to reposition the whole stadium without disturbing the flats at the back of the School End on the ER side. Certainly could end up like one of those little plastic square games with one piece missing so you could shuffle the pieces around to make a picture but surely this could be feasible and still cheaper than a whole new relocation?

just had a quick and dirty play with Google maps and Microsoft paint and by jove I think that would work.... However having watched series 2 of Clarksons Farm it has made me realise that if people high up in a council don't like you they will block everything you try and do (they even denied Clarkson building permission for a short gravel track on the farm he owns).
H & F Council seem to hate QPR so seeing as it would involve them agreeing to relocate residents, close off part of South Africa Road permanently and find a new home for the school I think it has no chance of happening... Shame, I think it has legs DW!

Wasps must be the most delusional sports team in history.

By 2073 stadiums will be exclusively used as gathering places for apocalyptic death cults, and The Hoops will be just another road tribe fighting for territory and lithium batteries between the A40 and the Great Flood where Fulham and Chelsea used to be.

Some people never learn, do they?

Wasps are planning a rugby-themed stadium complex with hotel, conferencing and leisure facilities etc which latter would bring in over half of their projected club revenue i.e. £7m out of £12m(?), with the remainder being directly rugby-related.

In other words, having proved unable to run a professional rugby business, they now want to plunge money into running a non-rugby business as well.

A couple of years after their last attempt at such a combination, in Coventry, went tits-up!

Still, just as Coventry City FC were able to move back to the Coventry Arena after Wasps' exit, maybe QPR could eventually take over the 'Western Avenue Wasps Nest' after Wasps fold a second time?

Both Milan teams are sniffing around Balogun at the moment that might be around 20m. I mean admittedly it's a different Balogun, but it just takes a few stores of a pen...

What he said.......and if we smash down some of the old crap buildings on the White City Estate (probably occupied by murderers, drug dealers and traffickers) then we'd have loads of room and everyone's a winner! We've cleaned up the estate!
