Bony deal collapsed 23:39 - Aug 30 with 18936 viewsJoe_bradshaw

According to Sky.

Apparently we're looking at Nelson Olivera to replace Llorente.

There's currently a large black BMW X6 parked by st davids with number plate B9NY P. Not sure why he'd be down there at this time on deadline day mind you.

If that's him he's been living under cover in Treboeth for at least 2 years. Perhaps that's why he hasn't played much?

Imagine if he failed it.

So,
Bony - In
Sanches - In

Maybe one more? Apparently Brendan wants Montero at Celtic, and Fulton and McBurnie are going on loan.

Wouldn't mind Arias and Chadli as well, providing the fee is right.

This was a clever ploy by Huw.

Yesterday half of us didn't want Bony, but after all the names that have been linked today, now we'll be chuffed to bits.

We could offer £ 20m for Dembele and throw in Montero. Come on Bren - you know it makes sense.

That had occurred to me too. Ashley Barnes FFS?? I'd sooner have Oliveira.

BBC reporting £12m bid accepted. Sounds more likely than £5m sadly.

BONY UPDATE

Manchester City have reached agreement with Swansea over Wilfried Bony, SSN understands.

The player is expected to make his way to South Wales later today for a medical.

We understand the deal for Fernando Llorente to join Tottenham won’t be officially completed until the Bony deal to Swansea is concluded.

He has lots of cars. He's a bit of a collector.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

I guess the Llorente deal hinges on Bony passing his medical, by no means a foregone conclusion if the experts on here are anything to go by.

I would like to know more about this before I criticise Bony. Just a couple of months before he transferred to Man City he signed a contract extension with the Swans which probably increased the size of the transfer fee the club received much the same way as Brendon Rogers and GS did.

Maybe the Verona offer is the only one that has been made and he is hedging his bets with a bird in the hand....? If the Verona offer is the only firm offer he has received, then unless he is happy to train with the reserves at Man City he would be stupid to reject it out of hand. Could it be the negotiations and possible transfer to Swansea are all subject to Llorente moving on and to date there have not been any offers for Llorente meaning the club can't move forward with the Nony offer? After the GS transfer saga, I would have hoped this would have been sorted much sooner.
I don't know what's going on, but I do know the club are taking a huge risk if they don't sign a quality striker by the transfer deadline.

24 Hours on, and Bony has signed, I shall eat my humble pie, I really should not read and believe everything I read in final week of transfer window.
