The Tottenham at Wembley coach pricing was shocking. Out and out profiteering on an already hugely lucrative fixture. We’ll probably earn 15 times one home bury fixture with this tie. Don’t be fookin greedy again.

Completely agree. The club have a chance to get 8,500 possible customers interested in Dale. Names, email addresses and interest. Let us not profiteer, use this game for marketing to the Town.

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 11:50 - Aug 28 by sweetcorn | Cant really understand peoples celebrations, but each to their own i suppose.. Personally would have preferred to see them survive, rochdale vs bury is always the first fixture i look for and is a game i look forward too, wont be doing that for quite some time now i suppose. |
Would you still be saying that if they survived and pulled off a 20th place finish in L1 this year, and Dale finished 21st and were relegated? I don’t think anyone is happy to lose the rivalry matches, but the point stands that a team that has survived on the back of financial doping shouldn’t be allowed to take up a space in the league at the expense of another. The whole “there but for the grace of god” argument is valid, but instead of a hypothetical situation you can just as easily compare with a real life one. We missed out on promotion to the benefit of Notts County - if we’d not had the players to sell after that, or seen the luck of Cup draws, we could have gone bust ourselves. The system has to change.

This can only be described as gross negligence and utter incompetence on the part of the EFL and, in particular, those individuals holding senior roles within the organisation. It is for this reason that I call for the resignation of the interim chief executive, Debbie Jevans, as being a person unfit to undertake the role to which she is employed. Given Ms Jevans tendency to work to deadlines, I require her resignation be tendered by 5.00pm on 30 August 2019".

I like that paragraph. It is calm, concise, well structured and presented, and it remains focused on its delivery. It's just a shame that the author comes over as a pompous twonk at both the start and the end and the content is a load of bollox.

How they forget it was the previous CEO, Shaun Harvey, who allowed Dale into bury and oversaw most of the Stewart Day era. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/02/18/shaun-harvey-leave-efl-chief-exe According to the Sun, Shaun Harvey describes bury to Steve Dale as a “toxic wasteland” https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9653934/steve-dale-bury-interview-league

They are fighting for their existence They hate their current owner as much as you do They had as much influence over club finance aa much as you do over RAFC club finance. I don’t blame them one bit. I would hope that Dale fans in the same position would do the same if the situation was the same.

Or just get on with starting proper planning for a phoenix club Did someone say there was an interested party with £7m funding? Use it for that [Post edited 29 Aug 2019 10:21]

I bet any money that the £7 million (cant believe anyone would give that money to bury anyway) is dependent on them still being a football league club. And its catch 22 for bury because if any takeover was allowed now then Dale would get a hefty sum of money.

I agree Lama if the boot was on the other foot we would be doing all we could. It could be to little to late but this is the last chance saloon ( the late bid ) Bury really should have been doing this 18-24 months ago. Could be nothing but they are claiming an EFL emergency meeting is taking place at Midday today. That might or it might not be about BFC.
