tomorrow can't come quick enough 14:17 - Oct 16 with 2263430 views | batman | Not for us, but for Bury. i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged only Wednesday this week. looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 08:26 - Aug 28 by finberty | Dave Giffard of Forever bury just interviewed by Sally Nugent. They are looking at whether they can appeal the decision. Also, when Nugent asked about the real estate value of Gigg, she was told that, for building to be permitted at Gigg, there has to be a replacement stadium built elsewhere. Presumably this would still 'belong' to the legal entity bury fc, (or in reality the mortgage chargeholder) and not for any breakaway operation. The man looked totally broken tbf. |
Forever Bury should have been asking questions six years ago. They'd be best starting from the bottom, pressure the council to stop any attempts to touch gigg lane and once they're more established (and gigg is losing it's owner money every year) look into getting it back. Most of their fans were happy to relocate to a prefab stadium in the middle of nowhere a few years ago, so I am sure they can manage a few years playing in proper non-league ground.

Challenging the rules and regulations by which all the other league teams sign up to is a loser in it self... They should now be focusing on moving on via the trust to organise a new vlub for ths 2020/21 or even the 2021/2022 season most probably in the NWCL... There is enough fan support to do this and if they even got a crowd funding page going i bet they would get a few quid..... But they must follow the exeter city trust model to progress.....

I remember arguing with Ryan in the early days when he had "100% no doubts" about Day. The lad is just not very bright. Apparently he thought in an "Off topic" thread that "free schools" means non-fee paying schools! TBH I can almost forgive the likes of him and PDiddy because they can't help their naivety and stupidity. What really galls now though is that many of those who defended Day are articulate, highly-educated and intelligent. So, why couldn't they see what I and others could? Don't know but can only think some let their love of the club blind them from rational thought and/or they thought it was "bad form" to be critical of anyone running the club and we should all have been as positive as possible. If the ground is mortgaged you'd assume that the company gave the mortgage would take the ground before any of the other debtors or Dale. [Post edited 28 Aug 2019 9:50]

And let’s face it, we all like seeing our rivals have misfortune. But it’s dawned on me that I’m unlikely to see Dale play Bury again. Certainly not for at least a decade. That makes me a bit sad as our traditional local rivals seem to just die off. Halifax, Stockport, Bury all lost to non league. Bolton likely to follow suit and Oldham look sketchy too. I’ll have to start hating Accrington now.

Stockport are looking like they could be back in the football league in the not to distant future so we might have them back in a year or two at least.

There so irrelevant and define a complete nomark club it's really like, pfft, whatever !! May be they can't get over the fact that they only exist because we let them, as we rightly had the size and magnitude to vote them into our higher echelon of league football. Suppose we're actually like their father to that little pip squeak of a club, that may be why they want us to die, the king is dead and all that. ” That’s a football league club to you, Mr Bistow. Don’t particularly want to kick poor Dave when he’s down but can’t agree with his statement about Gigg. If a potential developer can demonstrate a “pressing housing need” then there’s every likelihood that the ground will go, regardless of covenants etc. And the longer the ground is empty the more likely that possibility.

Agreed, if councils and developers can push through building on green belt then they can certainly get round a covenant for an unused football ground if it ends up that way.

As shown all over the country if the brown envelope is big enough, plans amazingly fly through the council. It's amazing what a corporate night out or a round of golf with a meal thrown in does too.

Even if it did happen in the early days would there have been a phoenix club formed! I dserously doubt that it would have... The FB trust dont seem to have it in them TBH.... I could be wrong. The FB trust needs disbanding and new trust formed with the sole intention of getting a new club formed.....
