tomorrow can't come quick enough 14:17 - Oct 16 with 2263610 views | batman | Not for us, but for Bury. i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged only Wednesday this week. looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills
tomorrow can't come quick enough on 11:57 - Aug 29 with 4439 views | KenBoon | Is this the Brazilian gold millionaire? I can see why a knight in shining armour to save the victim English club would be good publicity for that person, but a dog is for life, not for Christmas. If they blag this then i'm 90% sure they'll blag the points deduction too. Lessons learned? Not a chance. Unless the politicians pushing this (rather than dealing with a far more pressing issue) do continue to push for reform, I imagine like most politicians they'll go quiet once votes are secured. There's a whole rethink needed about English Football. At the top we basically have franchises. Towards the middle we have sugar daddies buying their way up the leagues. We're then left with the clubs who spend more than they can afford and the few sensibly ran clubs who have to try and compete with the others and keep good business.

and then there's Bury. In a spending league of their very own, where rules mean nothing.

Has the due dilligence etc been done in this small amount of time? Arent Bury fans crying that Dale took over too quickly and that he'd never been to Bury or heard of Bury FC. Has this Brazilian guy?

Do they care ? Absolutely not ! Why ? Because they will never learn! If this happens how long before they are back on here giving it billy big bollocks!

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 12:52 - Aug 29 with 4069 views | Sandyman | Hmm. Sounds like a Nigerian scam. Brazilian pastor backed by an international gold mining business asks for your bank account details to 'help them transfer £7million to you'. Then uses this information to later steal funds.

I'm no expert, but wouldn't proper due diligence require a forensic examination of the annual accounts? Which don't exist?

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 13:30 - Aug 29 with 3823 views | 49thseason | Reversing the bury decision would be the equivalent of waving two fingers at clubs like Rochdale. bury knew the consequences of not finding a buyer, no one turned up with the wherewithal and the decision was made. There is no point in having rules if they don't stand by them. Reversing the decision would bring the whole EFL into disrepute.

Which could leave the door open for them to be let into League Two next season if they get their house in order. A dangerous precedent to set and not really a punishment given that relegation this season was pretty much a certainty.

The problem will be at the minute we now have only 91 clubs which isn't workable. A decision will have to be made pretty soon if 1 less team drops out of the football league or an extra non league team comes in - and an announcement will have to be made.

Which is why they have already said 1 down from L2 and 2 up from the National League - 92 restored

They aren't being "liquified" (i think you mean liquidated) - the EFL don't have the power to do that. They're being expelled from the football league, which is precisely what you suggest They then need to apply for re-admission (under either their current or future guise) at whatever level will accept them [Post edited 29 Aug 2019 14:25]

tomorrow can't come quick enough on 11:43 - Aug 29 by electricblue | Wasnt the amount owed £125k hence the shock sale of Lefondre! Im sure somebody said it was a missed unpaid tax bill.. Jeez to say £125k could close a club which is nothing to the giggles millions..... |
Seem to remember in being VAT; might be wrong. You don't mess with the VAT man - I know of someone who did time for it. Tbh., and I think that as with this case - wasn't it Chris Brass who really started this pack-of-cards scenario. Again might be wrong but think that anyone can call in a debt and..... ...it can be quite an insignificant amount but the can-of-worms within that Pandora's Box can be the prob. that really gets the snowball accelerating down the piste.

Aye...we won't have to worry when things get liquified; sort of what Putin's threatened the UK with of late...and probably means it! That day will end all footie. In the meantime, enjoy the great game, our position, our recently re-inspired team, all the youngsters getting their chances, our potential and proof in showing how it can and should be done. And...enjoy that mouthwatering fixture coming up. Never been more appropriate to say it...but... UTD!!!!!!
