And so it goes : Marsh & Winter on their way !

It won’t come as a surprise to our readers after we reported this in an exclusive early on Sunday morning. The savings to the club will come in at around three hundred and fifty thousand pounds with Josh Marsh and Julian Winter leaving Swansea City.

Winter held the title of CEO, and Marsh, Head of Football Operations.

We understand both have already spent the majority of the week away from the club and that new incumbent, once a few details are sorted, Paul Watson will carry out a more dynamic role which Marsh found continually difficult to deliver. Watson should join the club from Luton Town where he has worked admirably on a very low budget. In Marsh’s case whether that was a lack of experience or as a result of being restricted in his budget we are certain won’t be disclosed. However, he knew his budget and he knew what his parameters were.

Some will see this as a blaming exercise after the non event that was the January transfer window, others that Marsh especially was out of his depth in his role at Swansea. That’s a matter of opinion. Julian Winter is clearly not the man for the new investors to be in the position of managing their investment and once the dust settles the true figures of the investment will be divulged.
