Wor natives are revolting?

It appears the natives are restless on Tyneside and threatening to boycott our Capital One clash later this month.

Leeds head to St James's Park on Wednesday September 25th for our third round tie in the league cup, but according to The Chronicle the locals are considering a boycott of the game against the Magpies current owner Mike Ashley.

According to a poll on Tyneside, Ashley, who apparently was popular at the end of last season has seen his popularity slump since May largely due to the farcical appointment of Director of Football Joe Kinnear.

Their bugbear apparently is the Toon's failure to bring in any transfer targets of any significance other than QPR's Loic Remy and he's only come on a season long-loan. One long suffering supporter claimed that boycotting they cup tie is the only way to hit Ashley where it hurts as many of the gullible Geordies have splashed out on 10 year season tickets.

Earlier today (Friday) 4000 seats went on sale to Leeds season ticket holders on a first come, first served basis. Maybe we will be getting an increased allocation if the Toon Army carry out their threat and stay away from the game?
