Lallana For England

Adam Lallana has become the first Saint to get a call into the full England squad since Peter Crouch.

Adam Lallana has received a shock call into the England squad only days after speaking on Soccer Am how pleased that he has been with Gary Neville's comments about his chances of getting an England cap if he continued to play to the standards he has been setting early this season.

With so many injuries Lallana has been called up but is still a long way from actually getting a game especially as this being a World Cup qualifyer it would be a big game to throw him into, but it shows how near to the thoughts of the England camp he now is.

Lallana becomes the first Saints player to be called into an England squad since Peter Crouch, who was selected for Engalnd against Columbia in the summer of 2005 shortly after Saints had been relegated to the Championship, sadly as he ran out in that England shirt Crouch had already played his last game for Saints and joined Liverpool shortly afterwards.
