I honestly dont know what is going on with Taylor.

Hes only played once this season, and hes not even in the team photo.

I know hes played a few development games, but apart from that hes been nowhere to be seen.

Its not doing him or the club any good.

Too many surnames for my liking.

Change it to Taylor, Richard.

That said, I knew a Richard Taylor in school. He was an estater C*NT. Carved the word ACID into his arm with a blade in class one day. Bellend.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

After watching him at Wimbledon back in the summer, I thought he linked up really well with Chair and Willock, but clearly something isn't right with him.

Im concerned because we are paying him £15k a week, and thats a huge amount of money for someone not playing, and we all know the current situation regarding our finances.

Hes clearly a talented player, but I think maybe the time is now approaching where we have to start seriously consider cutting our losses, if we did move him on then we'd be clearing some £780k per annum on him, that would be a huge amount of money saved at the end of the day.

Its harsh I know and we are all aware hes been having personal issues, but given the state of the clubs finances, we need to make some very difficult decisions.

Move him on where though? Who is going to take him from us? LF gave him a 4 year contract and with FFP I assume we can’t just pay him up and send him on his way. Terrible signing. Again.

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

I think there is quite a big mental health issue here that we only know a part of. He is getting pelters from some fans but he's clearly not well enough to play properly for now. Hopefully the club can get him right. He has lots of talent but if you're state of mind and mental health aren't right... Got to let this guy get better and hopefully if he can we will eventually see what he actually can do. The club has taken a lot of blame but Taylor has suffered multiple setbacks away from football that have affected him greatly. For all those who remember what Carlisle went through here (different circumstances) we only really knew how bad his health was after he left the club.

The same Clarke Carlisle who said he was missing the North only to join Watford?

With respect to Taylor, you're speculating. If your theory is right then he should do the right thing and agree to mutually terminate his contract. QPR is a football club and a business, not a charity. We're losing millions a month and can ill afford to carry passengers.

Taylor Richards

- talented footballer
- on a high wedge
- mental health issues
- not physically fit
- lack In confidence
- lost in mental space
- missing in action AWOL
- released by Brighton for pennies
- wrong attitude
- can’t help himself so we can’t help him

Put these together whether true or false you can see why he’s not playing

Poll: Isaac Hayden - Yes or No?

Three points

He won't play for us much at all

He is on salary for next three years

In squad with players that on lot less but play.

Cut our losses but need be careful in way processed as we committed to nearly three more seasons of his salary.

Difficult to cut losses / reduce pay / or sell elsewhere.

But as a member of the squad a brooding presence not great for overall morale.

Appreciate the mental health aspect but if we paid him off, at least he would be someone else's problem.

Walking in a "Mackie Wonderland"
Poll: Where will we finish next season ???

Gave up on him yonks ago, nothing to be seen here. You have to wonder why Brighton dumped him on us when they have been making millions from player sales and offered him for a pitance.

I doubt he's around the club much. It wouldn't do him, or the team as a whole much good. The kids clearly got real issues. I'm sure the club's enlisted a battery of medical specialists in an attempt to both help him, and salvage a real footballer out of their investment. They've really no other option so far as I can see.

Yeh, just a really really bad signing. Obviously has football ability but not the mentality. File him with Ravel Morison.

Occasional providers of half decent House music.

If a player is injured long term, is that covered by any sort of insurance policy ? If so, would this include mental illness ?

I wondered this also. If he has been diagnosed with mental health issues and is unlikely to recover well enough to play professionally again, surely the insurance policy taken out would cover this.

Is there any evidence he has mental health issues ? Or could it be he is a very bad apple which explains why three QPR managers haven’t touched him
Another waste ala JET and countless others , it’s a signing that has summed up our last 7 years
Needs paying up and moving on

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

This. I guarantee his "mental health" issues haven't stopped him playing billy big boy on nights out with his mates.

Sometimes people are just wrong-uns. I'd be inclined to put him under this category, along with the likes of Leon Jeanne

Certainly wasn't the smartest idea dropping Insta reel of pictures of him and his mates ponsing about in the VIP suite of some Mayfair boutique trying on clothes that cost as much as my car while the first team were playing at Middlesbrough. Bereavement counsellor must have had a good week at the office.

He actually joined Leeds when he left us but his circumstances then changed after a year so he went to Watford

Here's hoping you never suffer mental health issues and get binned off by your work

The time to review this is at the end of the season. We may have to keep him on 'sick leave' until then.

In most normal employment, he'd be down to half pay by now, before moving onto ssp. Mental health issues or not

Maybe. Worth remembering Tony Bloom spent £2.5m on him in the first place.

Bare bones.

Hmm, that's interesting. Anyway, pleased that we managed to change the culture and sign players with a professional mindset these days.

He didn't appear for the Dev Squad the other day.
He seems to have mental health issues which I imagine is rare in a footballer.
I remember years back Alan Hudson was left out of the Chelsea team with depression. I used to work with a really gnarled, tough Scottish chap who was a footballer in his younger days. He was staring at the Hudson article in the Mirror sighing in disbelief.

Why do you imagine that poor mental health would be rare in a footballer? Is it because you think how could they be sad earning that much money? If your knowledge on the subject is stuck in the 1960's I can steer you towards some good books on the subject if you want?

Agreed. He’s taking the mick and an absolute waste of space.

To be a top professional athlete you need a super strong mentality. He hasn’t even got a weak one; he’s got no mentality at all.

Sounds like he's suffering from mental wealth issues.

Sorry but am I missing something here? There are many people on this site that have or still employ people, myself included. When employing someone you give them a contract of employment which is designed to protect both parties.

If a person is unable to work due to being unwell either physically or mentally then you would ask that person to go to a doctor and get a note stating that he or she is not fit to work. After a set amount of time their salary would drop down and they would be entitled to SSP with the employer making a contribution. So why the hell are we still paying him (and we have no idea if we are) his full salary?

I accept and understand that football is different in so much that a player might be unable to work if he is injured whilst playing but he has hardly kicked a ball. I would expect to have regular meetings with someone who is on long term sick and try and put a plan into operation which assists him back to work.

Are you telling me that other people employed by the club on a lower level has that amount of time off work and still gets full pay? If so I wonder if they have any vacancies. I do understand and have sympathy for anyone who is unable to work for whatever reason but being seen out shopping with your mates does not exactly give the right signals.
