Maybe we should get this group involved?

A mass-movement like that is desperately required.... DESPERATELY.....The Trust (not criticising here) is in an extremely difficult position because it is forced to pussy-foot and use diplomacy at times because it is expected to operate within boardroom conditions/environment.....

As opposed to NBA?.... Independant and outside-of-boardroom, hands untied, able to use 'machine-gun-etiquette' and protest, so therefore being a welcome addition to SCFC supporter protests. Its great to have the two IMO, best of both worlds i.e. one lot in the boardroom and one lot out!

The lack of investment has been communicated to the Trust's members, as have the issues with the Shareholders Agreement (both the original one, and the new one that the Trust haven't signed). The Trust is answerable to its members, but as this information was distributed via publicly available platforms (their website and Twitter) the information is available for anyone to know.

The press articles when the takeover was first mooted also outlined the likely make-up of the deal - ie. it was principally to buy-out the former directors. Although the articles speculated there may be a little bit of money available for the playing side and infrastructure, it's was pretty obvious at the time that it was going to be business as usual (scrimping and saving and making do). It's always been clear it's an investment for them, but not into the club imo.

Personally, I wouldn't see the value in a mass communication campaign to tell people what they've already been told through websites, social media and the local press. But that's just my take.

If just one swans fan walking into the Liberty Stadium thinks there's been an investment and isn't aware of the issues then the Trust has failed in its communications IMO.

Presuming it wants to get the message out there, then the odd Facebook or twitter update isn't going to work.

Nothing on the twitter page since 22nd November, no publicising of yesterday on twitter and no report afterwards. Ive always been a big supporter of the trust but it really is absolutely p*ss poor. How hard is it to set up some scheduled tweets?

Plus, Swansea Joe Public has to know too. This isn't about a narrow communication exercise, it's about exerting pressure by winning hearts and minds. Everyone knows a high profile Premier league club is a good thing for Swansea as a whole.

To claim that a narrow twitter feed or Facebook page is adequate is surreal. I know it's easy to chuck stones, and it's easy for me to say, but there is no avoiding that much more needs to be done.

I'm happy with the Trust's communication, but I accept that improvements can always be made, they haven't been perfect.
I don't accept your second point, yes we have been royally bummed but there are things we can do about it and they are being explored. Do you want the Trust to spell out our strategy and tactics in detail and give the enemy unnecessary information, or should we be keeping them on the back foot?
Also bear in mind that the Trust can't just instigate legal action, that will require the approval of the members via a ballot.

Well you would be happy with the trust communication because you went to the meeting but not all fans could get to the meeting, how can you be happy with the coms when so many fans are still in the dark regards where they and the trust stand in regards the way forward?

Yes I'm well aware that the trust cannot just take legal action and that they would have to ballot the members, I asked on here last week for the trust to get in with it and ballot us! Thing is they haven't balloted us in fact they did last night they are still thinking about it! Really! What is there to still think about? Please inform us, please don't tell me as a member that you are still waiting for the yanks to get on board, if ain't going to happen so what you waiting for, either you can do something or you can't but tell people either way.

My opinion is that legal action is to much of a risk for the trust and they won't do it, I hope I'm wrong, so if you disagree please Hereford tell us fans what we can do to stop this mess because clearly you still believe there is something we can do.

""Although I cannot promise or predict the future, I can guarantee one thing - the current board of directors will always fight, as we have done over the last 12 years, to work together as one with the Supporters Trust to make 100% sure that Swansea City football club remains the number one priority in all our thoughts and in every decision we make."

As other posters have suggested, why don't we arrange a meeting and discuss how to take this forward. We need a fan driven campaign that includes leaflets, posters, media attention etc to highlight what is happening to the club. As much as I respect the Trust we need to do it ourselves.

I don't know how the fans can be balloted without being made aware of what the legal advice is and the (actual) risks of litigation are.

Surely releasing this information would be unwise as you'd effectively be setting out the game plan to the other side.

Personally I think the board should make the decision.

No guarantees of investment in January only an option to increase the overdraft and this is what Jenkins calls growing the club, lying deceitful piece of utter scum that he is.

No it has to go to the members, it's a major decision.

Haven't seen much mention on here, but there has been a a bit to read and could have missed it.

Could the Trust be holding back due to interest shown by third parties?

I'm racking my brains to think if I know any landlords? A pub with a back room would be ideal.

Anyone know the landlord of the Vivs in Sketty cross?

I know that I keep beating the same drum look back at the earlier pages of this thread, I'm just repeating what was said in article which is about the January window, not when they bought into the club.
