Achilles injuries are notorious for taking their time to heal. I pinged mine on a run (stupidly kept going instead of stopping) and it took the best part of a year for the bruising and sensation to go completely. Ginnelly is clearly younger than I was, fitter and has full time therapy but there’s only so much you can do. It’s a time thing after that. | |

Said in jest, had so many hamstring and ankle injuries the latter caused by playing on Penlan's horse trodden playing in fields in the summer, a horses can cause some quite large holes in a sodden pitches to dry out into nice foot traps.paying the price of playing five a side in later life now but don't regret it at all.
While these boys dedicate a lot of their youth to football, life goes on after a football playing career ends there are other avenues to occupy your lives. | | | |
