That’s not how business works and certainly not how it works in football. You have money going in and out all the time. Debtors and creditors. Payment plans.
The Santander element is irrelevant. Even if West Ham still owed us the money directly for Ayew it’s still money we would be receiving. Still money that we’d have factored into our budgets. And it’s still spending £18m when we re-sign him. | | | |
