Amazing how Carlos seems to have a similar taste in players to our DOF . Could just be rumour of course but there are rumblings that the Ayew deal is close to completion .
If he signed where does Carlos play him ? I'd also like to know how he fits Bony,Ayew,Tammy and Sanches into the team or who gets left out .
IMO if we signed Ayew it wouldn't be so bad as long as it's a loan deal.

I find it amazing that Carlos wanted Ayew so badly he was willing to do without other signings, there are things managers say to the press and things they really say.
So far thought no direct quote from Carlos, just a "it's understood Carlos wanted Andre..."

We're not really playing with any width on the wing though are we. He'll work ok in the role Dyer has played in last 2 games. Notionally up top, but dropping to right mid when we don't have the ball. Sort of an old inside forward when we do have the ball. That's exactly A. Ayew's best position imo. I imagine him on the end of a couple of those chances last night and we'd have put 4 or 5 past them (especially Dyer's miss).
That's my take on it. But, yes he can slow the game down (by looking for fouls as much as anything, much like his brother although he's getting better). Both Ayews up top will be a decent setup for us. I can't see where Wilf is going to fit in. |  | | |

I think he will fit into the team better than he did last time, he didn’t work well with Sigurdsson, and I can see the logic behind an energetic midfielder having shipped out Mesa and Fulton.
