I’ve taken the decision to ban Controversial Jack and deleted the thread.
This was my decision, I tried to keep the debate up for as long as possible but it got increasingly bizarre and for the good of the site, I removed it.

I was thinking, the geography and meteorological history of that region means that a bleak winter is almost certainly on its way!
Talk about a crushing impact that could have on Russian supply lines, logistics, ability to fight and morale. The Nazi's and their WW2 invasion springs to mind.
It's a nightmare campaign for the Russian invader and it looks like it will go from bad from worse when the snow, blizzards and below freezing temperatures arrive! And to make matters worse many of the Russian troops are not even equipped and trained adequately to survive in those appalling conditions. |  |

Russia has changed its conscription law. It will now allow convicted criminals who have completed their sentences to be conscripted into the Russian army. This can include murderers and drug dealers.
Russia really is facing a shortage of troops if they have to recruit scum like this.

Ukraine won't run out of shells as long as the West supports them. Russian tanks are being destroyed in large numbers. Putin has acted out of desperation and is sending in under trained and under equipped novices like lambs to the slaughter.
You say well equipped but experts say they are being sent out with equipment from the 50's whereas the Uraine is getting ultra modern equipment from the West.

The Ukranian troops on the front have stated, they cannot match the Russian artillery. They lack the guidance too, because the starlink satellite system supplied to them by the US, has been disabled by the Russians.Russian tanks are not being destroyed for this very reason.Ukraine needs forward .
Russia makes it's own weapons , it doesn't have to use 1950s equipment. Yes, they were using older tanks, but that was to act as mobile artillery. Russia is the world leader in electronic warfare too. They can hack anywhere they choose. This isn't the cold war era, things have moved on and you need to keep up. | | | |

The US Defence budget is almost twice the size of the next ten largest combined. The idea that the Russians could have come anywhere near them in a conventional war was laughable even before the Ukraine debacle. |  |
