Match Thread: Rochdale vs Gillingham on 13:48 - Dec 19 by Nigeriamark | A bit of bad luck, but it's much to easy for Gills. 3-0 at HT & although the third makes it slightly flattering, you can't say they don't deserve to be ahead |
...and this is a team that were dicked by Accy away in midweek. Shitefest from our lot.

Match Thread: Rochdale vs Gillingham on 13:52 - Dec 19 with 1800 views | boromat | What would everyone change at half time? Looking at the bench I'm struggling for an answer. Dunne or Done on for Roberts or Jim to try and get the left back playing higher up the pitch. Change of formation to give us more in the middle. Maybe Hopper to give us some energy.

Nothing on the bench to change things with which goes back to the club's poor attitude to recruitment in the close season. Looks like 13 games at home this season with one win. Please prove me wrong.

There I'd no depth in our squad to change anything.

It’s too late now. The issue identified by 442 was as plain as day, but nothing was done to fix it and we are now 3-0 down. Absolute tactical naivety. The game is gone now. Might as well throw the kitchen sink at it second half and see what happens. Missing players will be used as post-match mitigation no doubt, but the problem runs deeper than that. Jim off, Roberts to CB and Bola at LB. Probably sacrifice Baah for Hopper too, simply so that we have another body in midfield (diamond?) and aren't being overrun quite so much. Loathe to take Baah off though as we've so few other outlets. I'm more worried about stymying the tide than mounting a comeback.

The Defence are turning their backs, No pressure, or anticipation. Slow to react. I'm missing the body blocks, slides, challenges of a team defending as a unit which we were used to, only a season or so ago.

Nutshell (in a) Outcome was in effect determined before kick off, due to the respective "philosophies"

Roberts hasn't looked happy since he was moved to LB.

Comparing what teams have done against other opposition is a bit pointless as each game is a new start

Belting start to the second half, its like some games come as an absolute surprise to BBM, his tactics are staggering
