The latest (non) deal on 13:59 - Oct 11 with 872 views | dirk_doone | Yes hatred of the Germans and the French, in particular, has really been stirred up by extreme Brexiteers and the Russians on social media. All the hatred is a bit reminiscent of the politics of the 1930s except then the right wing press in this country, especially the Daily Mail, were supporting Adolf Hitler and wanted Britain to be led by Oswald Mosley and form a fascist alliance with him. Now they want an alliance with Donald Trump and the destruction of the EU. [Post edited 11 Oct 2019 14:01]

The latest (non) deal on 14:03 - Oct 11 with 861 views | Marcus_y | This type of statement is like new age footie fans who think the game only started when the PL did. The UK was around and successful before the EU and can be again without the EU.

The latest (non) deal on 14:19 - Oct 11 with 840 views | grumpy | Rubbish,it has nothing at all to do with football. If the U.K. was so successful before, why did we join in the first place?
The latest (non) deal on 15:44 - Oct 11 with 818 views | Chesham_Saint | If the U.K.was so successful before? Have you not been to the City of London and seen the wealth? This may have come on leaps and bounds (some may say despite the EU) but London was the preeminent financial centre of Europe way before we joined the EEC. Sure, post WW2 and end of empire we suffered but we weren’t some third world shit hole (although to be fair had you used British Rail, tried to set up a phone line and driven a British Leyland car, you might have thought so!).

The latest (non) deal on 16:17 - Oct 11 with 812 views | grumpy | I think you will find Banking will be affected by Brexit.
The latest (non) deal on 17:22 - Oct 11 with 787 views | Chesham_Saint | I didn’t say it wouldn’t be Grumps, I was hopefully making the point the UK can be successful in or out..

The latest (non) deal on 12:38 - Oct 12 with 719 views | Marcus_y | If you read my post again you will realise I was not suggesting it was to do with football. Why did we join? Corruption? To line the elite pockets further. Any number of reasons. What has the average Joe in the street gained? Bugger all. If we leave we can and will survive and get better in the future. To say we cannot survive without the EU is simply a nonsense.

The latest (non) deal on 13:14 - Oct 12 with 703 views | grumpy | Of course we will survive without the EU,but mores to the point how? Corruption!what like our MPs claiming expensive s? Just wait and see what the average Joe gains outside the EU.

The latest (non) deal on 00:25 - Oct 13 with 612 views | DorsetIan | Bit of consistency please Marcus. You made it very clear that you think we can never predict the future and now you are talking about what will happen in the future. Make your mind up - you’ll give the impression you are making this up as you go along...

The latest (non) deal on 10:19 - Oct 13 with 573 views | Marcus_y | I have noticed before your poor reading skills. But please do try again to grasp what I am saying.

The latest (non) deal on 10:25 - Oct 13 with 571 views | grumpy | You keep on saying people don't understand what you are saying, perhaps because it makes no sense.
The latest (non) deal on 13:04 - Oct 13 with 541 views | Marcus_y | Trust me, with an open mind and English skills, it makes perfect sense. However, I do concede that those with close minds who cannot see the spaces between black and white will struggle to get it.

The latest (non) deal on 17:36 - Oct 13 with 492 views | DorsetIan | You see Marcus, you are evidently a complete clown. This is what you posted above (10/10 about 12.30): “That is just my point. How can anyone with any brain power make their choice without believing what they want to believe. It is all speculation. The future cannot be predicted. So, you are making a pure assumption based on facts u believe while dismissing facts opposing that view. Get it now?” That is just my point (pretty clear)...The future cannot be predicted (pretty clear)... ...and yet I have poor reading skills and Grumpy has difficulty because he can’t read between the lines. The truth is you have no real idea what you think or what you are trying to say, and you certainly struggle to write it down. You are all over the place. It’s like trying to engage in a discussion with a custard tart or a lamppost.

The latest (non) deal on 14:47 - Oct 14 with 351 views | Heisenberg | When posting about grammar it may be worth checking what you have written before submitting it. 'As I day' for instance. Putting that aside I seem to recall some time ago you were about to move to a more sunnier climate. How's that going ?

The latest (non) deal on 15:32 - Oct 14 with 341 views | underweststand | 1) I believe...that if either Scotland or N.I. succeeded in "leaving " the UK , they wouldn't be allowed back into the EU - just because a majority didn't like the idea of BREXIT. As a "newly independant country" , they would have to apply for " the right to join the EU" , a process that might take several years. 2) the whole idea of having "a second referendum " is a denial of the very principle of democracy. iF there is a General Election (at any time) the "losers" can't turn around and refuse to accept the result just because they didn't like the outcome. 3) If another referendum went against the view of the Brexiteers - would they then demand a re-run - and go for the best of 3. If you vote for or against BREXIT .. you have to accept the result - whether you like it - or not. The alternative is anarchy. Democracy is a very poor form of government - but all the others are so much worse. (quote from Winston Churchill)
