The latest (non) deal on 18:17 - Oct 8 with 2017 viewsdirk_doone

There will be renewed outbreaks of violence before Northern Ireland eventually leaves the UK and rejoins Ireland and the EU. It will be a race between Northern Ireland and Scotland as to who leaves the UK and rejoins the EU first. Plaid Cymru have already started calling for a Welsh independence referendum although it will be at least 5-10 years before they leave. But, as we saw when Serbian right wing nationalism acted as the catalyst for the break-up of Yugoslavia, these things can happen surprisingly quickly.

A no deal Brexit is going to be catastrophic for the future of the UK. Not only will it lead to the country falling apart but the pound will continue to plummet in value, the cost of living will increase, businesses will close down, there will be increased poverty, social unrest and more crime.

The reality is this just doesn't work:

The way I see it is what the EU want our parliament won't agree to and what potentially our parliament will agree to. The EU won't .

Being British I would tend to agree with our side rather than the EU but I know lots feel totally the opposite and think the EU has every right to screw us how it sees fit.

Trust no one in a circus.

I was thinking along those lines. Te EU clearly don't want us to leave and just seem to be putting any obstacle in the way that they can

What a fookin mess

This is what happens when you have a referendum on something so complex without all the facts about leaving being made clear.
How much money has this cost and we haven't even left yet.
What was so terrible about being in the EU compared to a no deal scenario?

The EU agreed a deal with T. May and it was rejected 3 times.

Most of the 50.2 million people in this country who did not vote for Brexit as well as the 5.5 million British people currently living abroad who weren't allowed to vote in the 2016 referendum, don't want us to leave either.

Even some of the 16 million still alive of the 17.4 million people who did vote for Brexit in 2016 don't want it now.

It's going to be a tragedy for many people who chose to retire abroad and were prevented from voting:

That ridiculous bus that was driven about during brexit didn't help either.

Exactly it's total unacceptable to parliament , so to make it acceptable it will need changing . If they don't change then there is no deal to be had or revoke. It's a dangerous game of chicken.

I don't believe in a referendum again we voted once, if the politians know what's best for us then let them revoke and tell us it was for our own benefit. They should not force us to vote again so that it clears their conscience and let's them off the hook. They think it's so bad then just Get on with it the majority are saying it's best to remain anyway. Just get Benn to force another act of parliament through forcing the revoking of article 50 , job done and everything will go back to normal....... or will it ?

There will be high fives in Moscow on October 31.

Why did nobody ever put the spotlight on Dominic 'Take Back Control' Cummings's activities when he was living in Moscow in the 1990s or his contacts with the KGB? Why did nobody trace back how the money Aaron Banks and his Russian spouse used to finance the Leave campaign and still use to finance Nigel Farage came from Russia to here or what was discussed during his visits to the Russian Embassy in London before the referendum?

Get real, Boris maybe a clown leading the tories in tearing themselves apart but the latest opinion polls still put them ahead of Labour.
The general public just dont trust Corbyn and his cronies to run the country and that must really piss you off hence your constant inane posts.
By the way you still haven't answered Chesham Saint's question, calling you out as a fantasist bullsh!tter

Double standards at play here. In the Scottish Indy Ref, Scots living outside of Scotland were denied the vote but the SNP didn’t mind that because they knew most of the ex-pat Jocks would have voted to remain in the Union. Salmond & co were also happy to accept a simple majority for leaving the Union.

But when it comes to the EU ref, suddenly they’re concerned with the poor disenfranchised and a simple majority vote is no longer good enough.

No wonder so many people are pissed off with our politicians.

Chesham, I agree with you that the disenfranchisement of Scots living outside the country at that time was equally wrong. I am no fan of the SNP. I want the UK to stay together.

I also agree that most people in this country, including me, would not like to see Corbyn as Prime Minister. There is a real dearth of good, trustworthy political leaders in this country at the moment.

Sorry but that argument that those that didn’t vote wanted to remain . Utter rubbish
Absolutely no proof to back that up and frankly if you can’t be bothered to vote then you can’t complain later.
As for the expats, why should they vote, they don’t live here or contribute.

How would you jump to that conclusion? Ah wait you support a party that stands up for Terrists and the hate of all things Jewish. On reflection I can see how your small narrow mind might work.

If only Corburn was man enough to support the calls for an election.

Yeh! Like Skwawkbox... which by the way the below was posted on then hastily deleted...

Here's some excerpts from Andrew Fisher's (Corbyn's Policy Chief)...

'A tweet was drafted for Jeremy in light of the recent Russian bombing of hospitals in Idlib. The tweet condemned Syrian and US bombings in Syria (I kid you not).'

- A member of another team complained to me that there is “a class divide” in their team

- I find out that JC’s major policy announcement for conference has been leaked to the Telegraph

'But they are a snapshot of the lack of professionalism, competence and human decency which I am no longer willing to put up with daily. I’ve tried to resolve some of these issues for a long time, but have been unable to — and yesterday just proved that I never will.'

Yep - all seems well in Commissar Corbyn's camp!!!

So you cant tell me then, its a secret, you thought of some stuff realised its pish and deleted it to spare your own embarrassment. You would rather prop up a government that is desperate to ensure billionaire tax evaders are ok whilst thousands are died and have died due to their policies
