TimSaint added 13:31 - Oct 16 Too many players were off form, content to leave it to others to make that killer pass or to shoot etc. Every game it seems we have to carry 2 or 3 players and we simply cannot do this - perhaps yesterday we had 4 or 5 !! Gab is selected but we don't play to his strengths. It was like we were playing 4-2-4 with the front 4 doing little apart from waiting for the ball then passing it back, but then expecting Rom and Lemina to do the job of 4 midfielders in terms of holding and creating for the front line. Frustrations all over the park against what is pretty much a Championship side - and we were at home !! Things need to change drastically next Saturday NOTRAC added 18:35 - Oct 21 patred added 22:02 - Oct 21 mattthelegend added 22:44 - Oct 21 First half thought we played well considering the baggies parked the bus as expected and made several chances. Lemina was a beast throughout and Romeu had a better game. Good to see Bertrand getting forward again and unlucky with his free kick, as was Yoshi with his overhead kick. Second half was frustrating and we struggled to make any chances, with Forster looking dodgy again, don’t really remember anyone else making an impression until Boufal goal changed it, he must start in the next game and given a decent run in the team now? Still a win is a win and when you look at the way other teams are playing not many are looking good. allsaint54 added 10:04 - Oct 22 SaintBrock added 10:51 - Oct 22 larry12 added 12:18 - Oct 22 Romeu slow rubbish. Last 2 matches, Gabbiadini and Boufal solo goals, so the rest are still utter pants. Forster is so crap he should be shown the tools for his gardening leave and not be allowed to be a goalie anywhere in the world for the next 4 years forallthesaints added 18:41 - Oct 22 What a goal! And what timing. After 85 minutes of cynical time-wasting, WBA were done for. It was hysterical watching Foster run around like a headless chicken for the last seven or eight minutes. Must be awful paying to watch Albion away. Perhaps that's why they didn't travel with all that many. Someone's obviously had strong words with Forster as he came of his line at least twice. Didn't do so all that effectively but at least it stopped the ball dropping to their feet for a shot. Yoshida and Van Dijk were brilliantly solid. Up front we were trying to do the Arsenal thing and walk it into the net but never got to the bit where it actually goes in the net. And two many times, especially in the second half, a good ball was sent down the wing but was not followed up and so whoever had it was stranded and either lost it or had to turn backwards. But signs of improvement.
