Unreal.
Be nice to think that we don't spend the coming years tearing him down, as a people and a press.

Extraordinary, weird that he finds double 10 so easy, never seen anyone like him.

At least Warrington can win one title.

For a kid of his age he also comes across very well when interviewed. Seems very likeable and down to earth. It's easy to forget how young he actually is. Well done son

Totally this.

Something about our gutter press that love it when they can grind a fallen hero into the dirt. If he starts dating, I hope the press don't interfere but sadly not confident that they can contain themselves !!

Embarrassing part of British culture.

Well deserved. Still not an adult in his years on the planet....

So impressive

It's been an incredible tournament and incredible performance from Littler. But we all know he will be this generations Wayne Rooney and the bastards will be coming for him

Problem is that the media reflects the public psyche. The media wouldn’t be like this if people didn’t lap it up.

Seems a decent lad and beat MVG easily.
Looks like he will dominate darts for the next decade and beyond if he wants to which will make things a bit dull IMO.

Love the darts and the worlds has become my favourite thing about this time of year .
Littler is a revelation and a genius. And to think he’s literally still a kid .

I feared for his mental health after his first match against Ryan Miekle when he broke down after and couldn’t talk. He looked fragile and that made me worry . Yesterday he didn’t show that but the pressure is ramping up from the media and the snowball affect that is darts at the moment .
Had my boss telling me Thursday morning when we were back at work how arrogant he thinks Littler is and how he thinks he’s better than everyone else.
It shocked me but didn’t surprise me as this is the British public in a nutshell.
They see the worst in everybody instead of the good and that feeds the press which feeds the publics psyche and it will grow and grow and before we know it his family will be dole scroungers, woman beaters , drug users , blah blah blah . We know it’s coming and I hope so much that they already have the coping mechanisms in place . He needs a management team to pick and choose his media appearances wisely and not do everything that’s offered .
As for him winning everything in the next 10 years and it becoming boring . It could happen, but I don’t think it will . He isn’t a machine or a robot . He looks beatable at times and Ryan Joyce , who isn’t in the top 25 took him close . Ryan Miekle was 2-0 up in a race to 3 . He’s lost in the first round at 2 majors this year . He looks human at times and not how MVG was when he burst on the scene .
And that vulnerability is a good human trait as well when he looks a genius.

I for one think he is confident but far from arrogant . Level headed nice lad who would rather play Xbox than practice and I hope he never changes .
Well done Luke !
Incredible achievement

Yep, there will always be these haters around. I'd expect someone that good to be a little arrogant. So much of sport, especially "individual" ones like darts is in the head. If you start thinking you are anything but the best, your level may drop

He was phenomenal last year; next level this.

He'll win more than most in the coming years, but won't win everything like some are predicting; there are too many good players around to let that happen and to many things that will affect him through life.

A great, if predictable watch last night.

Can we go out yet?

Cole Palmer is not arrogant - you just saying that because he is at Chelsea.

Nonsense.

Yes he is a brilliant player, but I think he has no nerves and he plays big games in the same way that he would a kick about with mates in the local park.

If you want a top Chelsea player that was arrogant - look no further than Drogba.. Palmer is not that.

Anyhow - off track.

Littler - fabulous story. Darts is not a sport that requires fitness clearly, but he has a talent, and he loves throwing arrows. Any kid that practices regularly from the age of a toddler, wants to win. Tiger Woods could hit a decent golf shot at four years old.

Wouldn't say arrogant at all. He showboats in some games but the tricks come off and also it works as a way of demoralising an opponent and darts is a one against one matchplay also. It's a tactic that helps him win games.

He also for someone so young, knows he has to play to the crowd as they are the ones that create the atmospheres for the tv companies to shed out cash to promote the games and the prize money that players earn.

I am likely to support him anyhow as I had ÂŁ50 on him at 9 to 4 some time ago, so thank you Luke !!

That is your opinion and I respect it...though don't agree with it
Watch when he is interviewed and the look he gives the interviewer, too me it looks like disdain, as if every question is beneath him.
It maybe nerves, it maybe a lot of things, to meet looks like arrogance
And it as bugger all to do with him playing for Chelsea....

It makes sense when you think about it. For years, double 16 has been the checkout of choice as double 8 is just next door and therefore requires a minor adjustment. However, when you think it through double 20 is a frequent checkout. Miss that and you're likely to be on double 10, so logic dictates that it's a good one to master. And master it, Littler certainly has. I lost count of the number of legs he won on double 10 and tops.
