I tell you what, never mind getting rid of this player or that, get rid of half the c*nts that "follow" us they ought to.

I think we should get rid of all the terrible supports we have following us, starting with the hundreds who had left today before the 90th minute.

Sadly Mr Hunt Chico was lazy there and gave Dowd the option. Did any girders rust earlier whilst you were watching?

The option of a yellow for a mistimed tackle? That's always there if the ref caves in to pressure.

The first one he took for the team - something our players have been accused of not doing and not being cynical enough.

I think Jackfath has made that argument his own.

The second yellow was a joke.

If every mistimed tackle got a yellow there'd be no f*cker on the pitch by half time.

I normally agree with all of your posts, but the 2nd was more of a yellow than a first.

I sort of agree but also disagree (splinters in me arse again), Shurlle was going into a decent attacking position and he's given him the option of a booking (IMO anyway).

Just shepherd him to the byeline and hope the rest of the back 4 can deal with the cross.

That's what he should have done - the fact that he was too square doesn't make it a yellow card though.

Not cynical, not dangerous, not malicious.

A good ref would have controlled the game by telling Chico to 'wise the f**k up, I've literally just booked you'

forgot about the times he's saved us have you?

He just needs a manager to control him MORE.

Bollocks ,he a liability we can do without , saved us you say ,earning an honest coin as with most players is more like , if that over ego prick spent half as much time on his footie as he does with his appearance he'd be he'd be half a decent player ,sorry but my patience has gone with melodramatic prick

lazy defending, why not just chase him down. rather than throw your leg out,

both of the yellows weren't necessary

not really taking one for the club just crap.

You are 100% correct Alan.
He's a clown,a liability and an embarrassment.
If it was anything to do with me he wouldn't be picked to start again this season

He's one of the best defenders in the Premier League..... and has plenty of skill to justify his position.

He does lose his head at times - but with the right management he can be controlled.

Let's not completely go into meltdown over this shall we? It was a crap decision but then again, how many players would you consider class who have also received red cards?

It's part and parcel of the game.... unfortunately. But he just needs to be reeled in.

One of the best defenders in the Prem, he`s decent but one of the best in the Prem.

just when you thought it was safe along comes a doom and gloom poster. Change the tape ffs.

And no Phil, it was rash and 2 mins after a yellow card.

One for Mike Mansfield at his best to defend

And if he'd sh*t out of the tackle he'd be taking stick for that too.

The second was a harsh yellow card.

The way football is these days I was expecting the 2nd yellow, so in those terms I can't complain, although most refs would not normally give that 2nd yellow so soon in the game. However, as soon as the Chelsea players and bench started questioning if Dowd was man-enough to give it....well...job done...

In general I don't agree with yellow cards for challenges like Chico's 2nd, as it's essentially a yellow card for being sh*t. He was stitched up like a kipper by that bloke from Outnumbered, beaten all ends up, seems harsh to give a card out to add insult.

In my view, yellow and red cards are for either violent or cynical fouls, fouls that either endanger another player or are against the spirit of the game. Chico's 1st yellow was a cynical challenge that left him open to a card. The second wasn't violent, cynical or of ill-intent, it was just sh*t defending.

If we're booking people for being sh*t, then we really are in trouble....

Enjoying the next level
