In hospital

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I suspect it’s because Raab is a complete idiot who can’t think on his feet.

If anything happens, and let’s hope it doesn’t, we need to think about a cross party unity government for a few months.

Indeed.

Coalition isn't a bad idea in what is basically wartime.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I can't see him coming back to lead any time soon, if ever, even if he does pull through. That mad power grab probably all seems a bit pointless now. I feel sorry for his missus, being as she's expecting, not the easiest thing at the best of times.

True.

The poor woman too.

It's time they started telling the truth too. If he's in intensive care he needs to be in intensive care. My wife just snorted when they said 'precaution'.

Yes. Statistically 50:50 isn't it? Not good.

If he comes out of it, he'll surely be changed radically. lets hope for the better.

Thought suggested 50:50 if on ventilator which they are saying he is not

Maybe I'm just being hugely cynical, but to say he's in ICU incase he needs a ventilator sounds a bit far fetched to me.

Sadly it sounds like he's in a bad way. 🙏

It was a typically silly turn of phrase at the time.

That’s his style.

But we really do not need this. Hope he gets better.

Let’s hope he pulls through and comes out the other side a more thoughtful and, dare I say , more compassionate politician.

It should be straightforward. There have to be procedures in place.

Aye, just like he had a comfortable night and was likely to be back to work last Friday. Oh yeah, and was only in for 'tests'. Oh, and he was doing well today. You really believe what's coming out no 10 Spratts?

Tell me what they are? There is no deputy prime minister. Even if there was there’s no mechanism for that person to take over automatically. Raab is “de facto” deputy on account of being awarded the mainly honorific title of first Secretary of State. That was supposed to mean he stand in at PMQs every so often not to take over the top job in the event of incapacitation or, worse, death of the incumbent.

Anyway, let’s hope all that ends up being moot.

He looked terrible when he was clapping on Thursday but Are all people in ICU with this on a ventilator, because that is not my understanding?

My understanding is though that when they go down they go down very fast

Raab will be the figurehead while the actual reins are handled by senior civil servants.

That’s my thinking and the sensible interim path.
