Ireland certainly missed some key individuals today. A pro 12 referee mostly.

When I say they have means of winning, that normally includes getting referees on their side.

Mc caw the best ref of refs ever.

Jocks been shafted

No mun. Refs are entirely fair and unbiased and it's whining to say otherwise. I read it on here so it must be true.

Gift the win in a WC QF to the team that 'should' win, and this time by a direct intervention when the TMO could and should have been called in. Obvious late hit with no arms, penalty halfway and yellow card, knock on blue then played back by yellow caught by blue, scrum yellow. Twice in two days. This one worse, jocks robbed. Oh, and by the ref that blatantly gave NZ the WC last time. Corrupt and bent.

McGeechan has at least called it at last. It's about time the press got into these f**kers and made them accountable to explain.

Gavin Hastings had a proper tantrum after the game on Radio 5 about the ref. Was demanding to know why he didn't refer such a big decision to the TMO then someone pointed out that refs aren't allowed (apparently) to refer penalty decisions to the TMO.

Also the ref apparently had plastic bottles lobbed at him as he ran quickly off the pitch.

Proud of Scotland today! Great effort, and with a minute to go if they had secured their own line out at the end then we wouldn't be talking about the ref.

For the first time in a while I think Scotland might make an impression on the 6 nations.

I hoped for a 1/4 final place and we got it, anything else was a bonus but sadly it wasn't to be!

Proud!

Mate I was gutted yesterday but if I was Scottish today I think I'd be inconsolable. That lineout will haunt that hooker for a while. Heroic display but you really, really should be looking forward to Argentina next week!

Where on earth did Scotland get that from!!
Wow.
If only Aus had made some of those mistakes against us though!
Gutted that Scotland lost that!
What a game and what a tournament this is.

I said the same thing after the match to my dad. If Foley had the same off day against us we win - no question about that.

The late and violent challenge on Hogg after he kicked to clear their lines was not looked at by the ref and/or TMO, when it was blatant. The whole stadium was booing.

I am gutted for the Scots, who were well and truly shafted by the officials.
