Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City : Match day thread GAME DAY 17:48 - Oct 14 with 17706 views | ModeratorC | Six biggies coming ! Swansea City : Decisions to be made this week 15th Oct 2024 14:00Swansea City return to action this Saturday at Blackburn Rovers with a string of fixtures thereafter which will most certainly test Luke Williams ability to coach and manage his squad. Eom is out of these next six fixtures as he starts his rehabilitation after an MCL injury playing for South Korea against Jordan in a World Cup Qualifier last week. 0 Swansea City are so close to having a successful season 17th Oct 2024 08:00It’s Thursday morning heading into what has to be the most boring night after the international break for club fans. Nearly as bad as Wednesday. On Friday the Championship returns, and on Saturday it begins again in earnest. 0 Luke Williams on restructure & Cabango 18th Oct 2024 08:00On the eve of the Swans game away at Blackburn Rovers, head coach, Luke Williams doesn’t know if either of his on trial players, Adam Reach and Cyrus Christie will sign for the club. Both are out of contract, but it seems the man in charge at Swansea City and the squad has no idea regards what happens next. 1 Team News : Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City 19th Oct 2024 12:04Swansea City take on Blackburn Rovers at 3pm (UK time) today in the EFL Championship at Ewood Park. A welcome return for club football fans as the roads and motorways are again full of expectant supporters, literally thousand and thousands of them. 0 Swans lose away : Not good enough and definitely not reassuring 19th Oct 2024 17:56Swansea City fans were in the near five hundred calculated away support at Ewood Park this afternoon. As an adult paying for a match ticket and coach travel they will be closing in on a hundred pounds before refreshments. And we don’t even include a parent and junior ticket in these calculations. This is the commitment of the Jack Army, but was it matched on the field of play ? 0

Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City : Match day thread GAME DAY on 18:55 - Oct 19 by Fireboy2 | This ^ this ^ and thrice this ^ Our lack of goals is down to one thing and one thing only, a lack of a decent forward or two. I would have gone upto the coward coleman and told him so but he had his son with him. |
Thank you kind sir! it is what it is, we get the Striker we have got time and time again and two more good players this squad are play off contenders easily Thing is we haven't even given Cabango and Darling new deals so you can see why people are not as positive as they might be haha This club man, so near but so so far!

No argument there, they're a great defensive pair and their contracts need sorting asap.

Our attendance figures when taken in that context are not so bad. Possibly the opportunity to continually watch you team on TV is changing the way supporters look at football. It's not down to the lack of attractive football, it's just the way it is.

Blackburns owners have peed off tens of thousands There are options nearby to watch high grade football. Not the case with us Bugger all else in Bakckburn We are one of the lowest supported crowds in the league and in no way the smallest city Derby is the same size as Swansea but has twice the fan base . It’s worth a ponder . Burnley is more than half the size of Swansea . We need excitement and we haven’t got it

I would say Derby are on par with the Swans. As for fanbase I very much doubt it.

Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City : Match day thread GAME DAY on 09:54 - Oct 20 with 862 views | sw02sea | We have a budding partnership in Canango & Darling, that could be one of the best pairings in the Championship, and what have the Owners offered them ? Jack all ! It just goes to show how good professionals the 2 of them are, when they both still give 100% every game. Then there’s the lack of goals, plus the lack of shots at goal to consider. When you think Piroe scored back to back 20 goal seasons, what have we done to replace that loss of goals? Enter banjo Yates, and Kukharevich, (who couldn’t get a game off the bench), both farmed out on loans after paying £2m for each of them. Next was Vipotnik, as of yet, not troubling the scorers. Plan B, stick Liam Cullen up front ! 😳 There is one binding element amongst all this… Luke Williams. I’m starting to think old Albert was correct in his judgement of insanity… “Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”

Cabango is. Superb young pro and one whom we should have nailed down long ago. I see him as a captain . Nobody can tell me he would do a worse job than our current chap. We are not being led correctly on the field of play Managers tactics not questioned Goalkeeper is someone we can build a team around . We have one It wouldn’t take much to get us restarted but ,right now,we are going south .

I agree with this. | | | |

Williams has tried a couple of different tactics pushing the full backs up high resulting in no space for the wingers and requiring the midfield to drop deep, that left us short in the middle, then he has tried asking Key and Tymon to at times come in field given the space in the midfield but that means the wingers then have to come deep, Leave the defence alone Darling and Cabango are relatively solid, Key and Tymon are fullbacks who with a little more attention to their defensive positioning are and will be better assets both in defence and attack. The main issue is that that midfield domince, we don't have any, we cede ground to play across the back line which invariably ends up with Grimes dropping deep four players out on the wings leaving a striker up front and Franco and Cooper to battle it out in the middle while Cooper tries pushing high to support the press, the midfield is wide open. Even the best centreforwards would struggle with the scraps being delivered. [Post edited 20 Oct 10:34]

I’m not sure I do. I think we are too slow in our build up which even a recognised goal scorer up front would struggle.

The Grimes Tymon pas a deux is a most telling feature of why we are so slow Tyson’s first instinct is to return the ball 45 degrees to grimes . Who then passes it to others to return the oasis to him. Result is we go nowhere

Exactly, we go nowhere fast. However, the opposition have all set themselves up up nicely to defend. WE ARE TOO SLOW. People won’t like this but the first Cardiff goal yesterday is one we seldom score. They got up the pitch quickly and Robertson(?) shot from outside the area before the defence could get into position. One, we rarely take a shot and 2, when we do the area is saturated. I know, it was against Plymouth and they have an awful defence. OK, let’s see how we do against them. I reckon we’ll struggle even if they went down to 10.

We are slow, no doubt at all, but we’re quicker than we were under Martin. Piroe managed 20 or close to it both seasons

It doesn’t matter if we p,any against 11 ,10 ,9 or seven. We will play the same The Wycombe game was really the template that we stick to. Loads of mealy mouthed apologetic crap from Williams after it but he’s done nothing to improve that . Fact Players are regression. Ie Ronald. The reason he looked good for he first games is that Lukey hadn’t had enough time to ruin him,and he is. It’s all about owners realising they have xxxxed up with appointing him ,and whom they will replace . His leaving and any subsequent freeing players of their shackles will see fans return to the stadium. They will no longer watch this dross .
