Club Ownership / Directors 19:14 - Jun 15 with 32948 viewsPhil_S

There are a few questions floating around the various websites about Swans directors and their shareholdings

We have 9 directors in total who are

Huw Jenkins
Leigh Dineen
Huw Cooze (Trust representative)
John Van Zweden
Steve Penney
Don Keefe
Gwilym Joseph MBE
Martin Morgan
Brian Katzen

We also have two associate directors in David Morgan and Will Morris - these are both non executive positions

Of these 9, 3 of them - Gwilyn, Don and Steve own no shares in the club with the share ownership made up as follows

Martin Morgan 225,000 shares
Brian Katzen 200,000 shares
Swansea City Supporters Trust 200,000 shares
Huw Jenkins 125,000 shares
Robert Davies 100,000 shares
Leigh Dineen 50,000 shares
John Van Zweden 50,000 shares

(Many of these shares are not listed to the individual but businesses associated to them but I have used individual names for ease)

Overall share issue is 950,000 shares

Do you mind if I count the money for a little longer and just take advice from people I think worthy of giving it. After all having discussed this on here and read your views and those who have debated back to you together with the normal advisers we use (who all think you are barking mad and wrong by the way!)

However it is a highly entertaining thread and as Uxbridge has said it is good to have a topic like this being debated especially as you decided the Trust strategy was to get to 25% as soon as possible all by yourself. Today you took that one stage further and told us to aim for 50%, won't even begin to start on that one.

I'm now off to ring one of the shareholders to see if they would like to go for a curry later on

Are you a Mumbai man Phil?

One would hope the Trust chair would have more sense than to eat in a 1* restaurant.

To jackonicko's point, how about the Mumbai for an investment opportunity? The only way is up

I'd hope that if you are wining and dining a shareholder that you're at least taking them to the Rose Indienne to see Abdul!

Actually I am a little scared

What if I believe I am wining and dining them but in reality they are wining and dining me to work towards Shaky's strategy

Maybe Shaky is Leigh Dineen and he is actually plotting a world takeover?

Vojon gets my vote. Rose if we're trying to sweet talk Morgan et al into giving up their shares.

Will there be a trust member discount for diners? If so, everyone's a winner.

However, you may need to introduce a monthly cap or Darran may bankrupt the trust, which would be unfortunate.

Just to clarify Phil, the reason you believe I have changed the Trust's objective to get to an ownership stake of 50% is that you don't really understand what I am saying, which is generally speaking also the case with your Mickey Mouse "advisers".

FYI what half-decent decision makers do in similar situations is to ask intelligent probing questions to confirm their understanding rather than assume the other guy is mad. But there you go; let's just hope your reaction here is a manifestation of your psychological hurt on account of me having been mean to you, rather than sheer incompetence solely.

Anyway, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink is a saying that comes to mind. You don't know shit from shinola is another one.

At least I have tried to help you and so my conscience is clear. Good luck Phil, you're gonna f*cking need it.

At least those 'Mickey Mouse' advisors are able to calculate dilution percentages properly and also, I'd wager, know what an EGM is :-)

The Trust, the Board, the Shareholders and their Mickey Mouse advisors have also, lest you forget, taken a tiny little football club from the foot of the fourth tier to the top 40/50 most profitable football clubs in the world.

So personally, I would think that Phil and all those involved in our club need a little less luck than you suspect.

I actually, and you may find surprisingly, absolutely agree with this sentiment.

Otherwise we'll find that everyone else has passed us by and we are once again at the bottom of the pile.

I genuinely though, don't believe that anyone involved with the club is doing that or will allow that to happen.

2 words - ticket office (or is that 4 words)

Please don't get me started on some of the horror stories that go right to Board level. Just total incompetence, arrogance and lack of understanding of the most basic concepts of customer service, their own publically stated rules and the logic constructs that underlie them.

Not aimed at the staff there in general who will be as helpful as they are allowed.

To be honest, I wasn't talking about that sort of thing (although I don't dispute that they are important) - I was more referring to the way in which the club is run from an overall perspective.

To be fair, at least the ticket office is (or I believe it is anyway) being dealt with at the moment. I obviously only deal with all from afar and always online and I don't have first hand experience of it being bad - I realise though that lots of people have, but I tend to use one of my family's season tickets for matches in Swansea (which I get to far less than I would like) and mainly see away matches, and as a Jackarmy member since the start of the scheme, I have obviously just been lucky.
