Laudrup's Fear For Chico Final Place

Michael Laudrup admits that he is not sure whether Chico Flores will miss the Capital One Cup final after the defender was stretchered off the pitch against QPR this afternoon.

The defender went downheavily under challenge in the first half and after a few minutes treatment he was carried off the field to be replaced by Kyle Bartley.

It is feared that the damage could be ligaments which would mean that Chico would miss the final.

There was however good news that the slight knock sustained by Michu in the game was nothing too serious.

“Michu was nothing serious, he had a kick on his foot,” said Laudrup.

“He’s been struggling a bit with his hamstring this week but I thought he looked fit and he was great.

“He will be fine to come to Dubai.

“Chico could be worse. We don’t know yet but when he asks to come off you know it is not good news because he always wants to play.

“We will have to wait and see with Chico.

“Hopefully it is only a twist or a kick but there could be some damage there with the ligaments.

“He will have a scan and we will have to see what they say.

“If it’s ligaments he will definitely miss the final.”
