When will we actually get Huw Jenkins out of the club? 21:20 - Jul 28 with 25798 views | Swansea93 | I appreciate the attempts last season of certain groups trying to start some chants and protests, and I'm not jumping the gun and being negative here, but since Huw said he'd step down if we were relegated and he's still here is abit of joke, he's hired Potter and hasn't given him any backing in the market as of yet and is clearly calling the shots still. When are we all actually going to get Jenkins out because I don't think we can 'rebuild' with him still here, how many fans are actually going to forgive him for the sh!te he's caused the last few years? With Andre Ayew leaving on loan is a prime example of how Huw has run the club the past few years, big money signings on big wages leaving for next to nothing. Yes we all appreciate what he and others did for the club all them years ago, but we've moved on since that and we're talking about now & the future which he has shat on. Eder, Tabanou, Borja, Ayew, Bony, Clucas, Ngog, Mesa to name a few of his signings that have all cost a club of our size a fortune, not to mention the questionable decisions he's made e.g not bringing Allen back when he had the chance, handing out long contracts to squad players who weren't playing in the first team. He stated we'd learn from mistakes which they clearly havent it's the same old story every time, we start the season in 7 days and we have signed 1 player officially for the '1st team' and if we start off bad Potter is going to get the blame for this whilst Huw is tucked up in his directors box getting away with all the sh!t.

Yes, I am a fraud for failing to prophesy what some commentator from Birmingham Live would say 4 days into the future. Your desperation is palpable. And another word beginning with 'P' i am unable to summon up, due to my demonstrated lack of psychic abilities. "It’s only a small overdraft, so no-one at the club is panicking."

You didn’t go on to mention the next bit of that article: “Albion put safeguards in place, unlike the likes of Sunderland, to avoid economic catastrophe in the event of relegation. All senior players are now on ‘flexi-down’ contracts which has effectively halved their Premier League salaries. So Albion’s balance sheet isn’t too disastrous.” Nor what it said about us: “Swansea had to sell their key players before they can buy, but that has only made more work for them. They now have very little time to remedy their squad deficiencies. There is also the issue of the wage bill, extremely high compared to their turnover, the result of rewarding players with bigger, long-term contracts. Headaches all round.” “Additionally, the scale of some of the errors made in previous transfer windows and contract negotiations has been laid bare by how little interest some of those who have wanted to leave have attracted.”

So at least we now appear to have agreed WBA is valid comparable club. Glad that is sorted out.

I'm not interested in us in the context of my replies to Shaky. He pointed out how cash rich they are onlyfor us all to find out they'd blown a fortune on crap and had to take a borrowing facility for the first time in 10 years. With regards your technical director and Potter post earlier I've no idea where you're going with that. Do you think the Americans hired him? I mean apart from the fact they officially own the Club so by that nature they hire everyone, do you think it was their choice??

When will we actually get Huw Jenkins out of the club? on 14:16 - Aug 2 by londonlisa2001 | Remember when Potter was hired by the Americans it was at the time that the club stated it was also going to appoint a technical manager. That was superseded with Potter bringing a head of recruitment with him and recruitment policy being changed from the previous process. |
Indeed. Plus worth noting his complete absence from the training camp over in Austria.

That they are cash rich AND applied for an overdraft for the first time in ten years???? It just shows how futile you are and the 'art' of lifting one liners from an accounts in some kind of desperate attempt to prove a point. The real story here is that West Brom weren't the perfect financial model club and that they facked up so much that a) they had a disastrous season and b) they had to apply for borrowing for the first time in a decade. Now go back and read the important pages on this thread where you went out of your way, with your fag packet calcs, to hold them up in light. Fack off mun... FRAUD.

Forget the absence in Austria. That's irrelevant in this context. I won't have two members of the Trust. Board going out of their way to rubbish anyone at the Club just because they've got an agenda and just because they're still smarting for allowing the Club to be sold from underneath their noses. Who do you think appointed Potter???

My analysis was based on the last published accounts, for the year ended last June. As I clearly stated "last summer". The article you are working off says: "Jenkins revealed earlier this year the Baggies had taken out an overdraft". **earlier this year** See the difference? No? That's because you are either too dishonest or too fcuking stupid to be worth spending any more of my time on.

I'm not rubbishing anyone, not in this context anyway. The discussion was about influence and the fact that Jenkins wasn't at the pre-season camp, for the first time I can recall, is surely significant. His influence is reduced, or rather the manager has a greater influence than has recently been the case, be that personally or through his appointments elsewhere. I've never been one who thought Jenkins was the one making the final decisions about all signings (in fact I know it's not true) but the old model was broken and change was desperately needed. Obviously this is something the Trust has been saying for some time. Time will tell whether the new balance can bring results or whether further changes are needed. There'll be people who can't/won't tolerate Jenkins under any circumstances, but I've always thought you've got to play the situation that's in front of you and I think the Trust has tried to do that dispassionately (often to its criticism from some quarters). There's little doubt the pressure will ease if we start off well. If we don't, it won't. That may not be entirely fair on Jenkins in the context of the short term, but I've got a lower regard for the footballing talents of the squad we retained and he oversaw that. Nobody will be happier than me if we start with a bang, or we at least get back to playing some enjoyable football. The last three years have been dull in terms of entertainment, if not in drama. Signs are at least positive in that regard, so I remain optimistic.

The Club? Is that some secret new guy we've got working for us now, Mr Club ?? It will never be 'the Club', it will always be the decision makers there, of which and of late they are VERY few and far between. And let me tell you now, it wasn't Kaplan or Levien.... The club my arse.....

I wasn’t remotely involved in the Trust when it was ‘sold under their noses’ so that has nothing to do with it. I think (my personal view) that Jenkins should go because if the disastrous way the club has been run for the past two or three years, not because if the sale. The sale was reprehensible, but if he did a great job, we’d be cutting off our nose to spite our face in bombing him out for that alone. In the past couple of seasons, we have had Baston, Mesa, Clucas, A Ayew, Bony brought to the club at huge cost and they have all been appalling buys. We are either having to loan them out (writing off our purchase price) or sell them at a huge loss just to get their wages off our books. It’s madness. It’s not rubbishing past performance, but it’s enough of a recent track record that anyone else would be gone. I’m not a Trust board member by the way. And my interest is in the long term well being of the club, I have no agenda apart from that.
