I've been involved for a long time and would hope to be involved for a long time. For anyone that has been around for the same period then you would know that I have always said that the more people that stand for election the stronger the Trust is.
Unfortunately there are many that prefer the limelight of when the battle is on then the hard work of when things in the main are going OK and there is little credit for what is actually done.
As I said earlier in the thread, there will be an election next year, if enough people stand then there is a chance that the likes of myself, Huw, Jim and Stuart could be voted out. If that happens then not one of us would complain.
Sadly you seem to think that things like this will wind me up - they don't and not being on the Trust board is never one of those things that would annoy me. I would keep my membership going, I would keep my regular donation going and back everything that they do in exactly the same way.
Try again, you'll need to find something else to wind me up. Start a poll if you think that helps.
For everyone that thinks I do a bad job, there are people that think we do a good job. We have weaknesses, we recognise most of these on here on a frequent basis and continually work on them. Sometimes life gets in the way and actually banging your own drum is one of the hardest things to do as most people are not attention seeking (we have had some of these before) or in it for their own gain (we have had these before as well)
As much criticism as there is of the Trust, I'm reasonably confident that our members think we have a lot of the right people involved.

I really don't know if this has happened to me before, but I struggled to read the first three pages of this thread and just couldn't take any more.
It just made sad, that's all.
This all kicked off after a quick 1-2 with myself & Phil relating to a comment on another thread. Of course the 'faux offended' brigade got involved and were up to 9 pages. After page 3 it turned into something resembling a Monty Python sketch. Either I'm getting thick skinned or my morals are disintegrating. Either way I laughed at most of it. Phil was more than up for the challenge, so he's ok too.

If he wanted to send a message then why not ?
Players are dammed if they do and dammed if they don't !
I don't care one way or another but if a player who came here on loan wanted to say thanks then maybe we should be humble enough as fans to take it in the spirit it was probably intended .
Good luck to him, he did well for us and was part of a team that played some of the best football ive ever seen at the Swans, winning in europe, winning a trophy and gaining international recognition along the way, i feel his message is probably sincere .
^^ this. A good player for us who was reliable, consistent and always gave his all (even if he did wimp out of tackles).
Of all the memories, the one that I'll remember is him running L'pool ragged at their place in the League Cup and busting a gut at the end of the match to slide in a loose ball. His curled shot into the top corner against last season was a peach too. But is would have been nice to see a few more free kicks hit the back of the net.
