FIFA World Cup thread. 12:02 - Nov 15 with 138631 views | Snipper | I’m trying to get excited about this World Cup, but to no avail :-((. I’ve just watched Sky Sports World Cup preview with Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp, Jamie Carragher & Karen Carney. Utterly depressing viewing. Same old, same old. Picking players for the starting XI not playing for their clubs, or totally off form. I’m hoping this thread can get the juices flowing. Do any of you think England have a chance?

FIFA World Cup thread. on 14:49 - Nov 27 by Toast_R | Martinez will be resigning I assume? How bad have Belguim been, lucky to beat Canada who dominated them and now losing to Morocco. The players he has at his disposal and they have been so poor. |
They've been awful. Fair play to Morocco though - really deserved this. I am surprised he's still their manager - he's hardly overachieved as a manager, has he?

Yalla, yalla. A bit more composure from Canada and the Belgians would be heading home.

Delighted for Morocco, thoroughly deserved, and enjoyed seeing Illy celebrating at the end.

I remember that France 98, Scotland were giving it the biggun about how they were going to qualify for thr Rof16 in a group that had Brazil, and Morrocco then gave them a thorough thrashing.

How wrong I was. Qatar out first and the favourites all struggling. While the obvious ethical considerations remain this has been an incredible World Cup so far, and there has never been a better opportunity for a Greece style win for someone. ‘Big’ nations seem tired and uninspired. Perhaps times are finally changing and nations are now on a more equal footing. [Post edited 27 Nov 2022 15:08]

Despite the loss, I thought Youri Tielemans was immense. Would have had Chair on toast. This Morocco side was quite physical which doesn’t suite Chair unless they give him a Taaraabt style free role which Amrabat sort of has.

I must admit I don't pay enough attention to that Fulham Broadway lot to know that Kovacic plays for them. Disappointed to find that out because he's been far too much for the opposition around him at times today from what I've seen.
