I met him once in the Klubfoot Hammersmith on a St. Pats night shindig. He was drinking green lager and had a green condom as an earring. Cait O'Riordan & Elvis Costello were there too, along with most of the Pogues. It ended up as a cross between a jam session with artists getting up and down to play all night and an acapella karaoke. I don't remember too much about it but a great night out.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
Saw Triumph at Hammersmith in 1980 I think. Never saw Nazareth, they always struck me as a much better live band than studio. This is about their rockiest song.
