I know there are many cricket fans on here and I felt his achievement today was worthy of its own thread. I've been lucky enough to have seen all the top 20 batsmen and it is quite feasible that he could surpass Tendulkar. It is also noteworthy that he has been on the pitch for all but 3 minutes of the 3 days so far in 35 degree heat. Full respect for what you've done Joe.
None of the 92 clubs in the FL are in a Tory held constituency. England only win major finals when there is a Labour government. *Disclaimer: Calling the current Tories in charge a Labour government is a bit of an oxymoron. *Disclaimer: I never even bothered to check if these were true or not nor when they were originally posted. It was just something I saw on X and is only for a bit of fun.
I don't know how many will brave their souls but I can't believe that people don't have them. Music makes me emotional, even Battle Without Honor Or Humanity will make me well up before kick off at times. Ones that will guarantee it for are...
Just a bit of nonsense to while away the moments until August. Fictitious tag lines for films that don't exist. So far I have managed "Three people, charged with saving the world. Then they became six" Monty Python's Splitters.
"In an unassuming Dutch euthanasia hospital a group of Doctors gather together to execute every mother fücking last one of the patients" Pulp Suicide Squad.
"Watch in awe as a squadron of 12" high infantrymen are lifted up in the air". Rise Of The Foot Soldiers.
Is the court case impacting QPR fans opinion of him? Last night he was head and shoulders our best player, an opinion shared by the the Lids posters in their match thread and a lot of neutrals on the FB Championship page, yet there are several posters on here who can only see negatives in him whenever he plays. There were times yesterday when he was linking up with Willock and Paal that he was unplayable yet time after time I all I see on here is "he should have looked up and passed, " "Wasted a good opportunity" completely overlooking the amount of effort it takes to keep the tempo up for over 90 minutes. His onfield captaincy also seems to be overlooked too, not the shouting words of encouragement captaincy but the explaining runs, positions and transitions to the players around him. He even bawled out Dunne for not picking up Firpo in the first half as he could see that Firpo was making those runs that were assisting Summerville and Piroe in getting into good attacking positions (albeit they came to nothing). Maybe it's a QPR thing that fans only like defenders and attacking players are to be suffered rather than enjoyed. Go on the LUFC MOT match thread and see what they think of Chair, it was the same with the PNE fans after the last game.
It used to be packed with R's fans before games when Ray & Maggie ran it but the owners since they sold up ruined the place with bad food, poor service and ever increasing prices. Good news, there is another new owner as of 2 weeks ago who told Ray was his uncle and he wants to get the cafe back to how it was when Ray owned it. I popped in yesterday with Dave to get a cup of tea and we stayed for some food in the end. There is a good and varied menu now, prices are very reasonable and the service was faultless, you even get a Biscuit with your tea or coffee. I am posting this to let former regulars know that it is now worth returning and has been decorated with QPR paraphernalia again.
Our search for a prolific striker is over; Coventry defender Liam Kitching with a well struck drive past the keeper followed up with a beauty of a glancing header. Both in his own net but it was the quality of finish that caught the eye.
