Crewe might be poor but top performance by ourselves. The armband brings the best out of Hendo and I thought TK, Rose and the two centre halves were superb. Playing Jamie Allen further forward in the second half had him almost unplayable after a forgettable first half from him. That pass through for Bunney's second was sublime. Not bothered at all about being 15th. Top class performance that far from flattered us.

Great performance. Henderson was back to his best, Rose was great. That was Jamie Allen's best game of the season. I love love love him playing so far forward. He was outstanding today and he makes it look easy at times. Play him in this position more often, please!

2 classy finishes from Mr Bunney - pleased for him.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Those two finishes by Bunney is why we persist with him and got shot of Donnelly.

Never seen a team keep giving the ball back to the opposition about 40 yards from goal with such regularity, Crewe were terrible. Might have been because they washed their socks at too high a temperature. Really hope the focus in any interview is on our performance and not the size of the crowd.

12-2 to Dale after 3 meetings this season.

We got rid of Donnelly because Tranmere offered us a fee for him. He'd still be here if not. Truth.

Allen got the freedom of the park second half when Crewe went 4-4-2 after 45 mins.

We're not quite strong enough to compete with teams that cost millions but we're far too strong for the ones who don't.

Very pleased with that

Thought Hendo was class tonight. Some sublime touches. Defence looked stubborn and our keeper had pretty much nothing to do, didn't think his distribution was much better than lillis though to be fair. Bunney took both his chances very well, he can certainly finish but his link up play and 1st touch needs work. Once he gains more upper body strength I'm sure the fans will back off him as they were ready to sub him in the main stand after 45 mins. Nice to see them silenced.

Won at a canter. The best thing was watching the confidence visibly flow back into Joe as he banged in both goals with aplomb. Hendo's penalties were both sublime too, and his all-round performance was the Hendo we used to know from a few months ago. Welcome back!

Have to mention Jones though. Had so little to do he could've had a snooze but what he did do was create a presence that made the defence in front of him confident. Watching from t' other end when they had their breakaway chance in the first half, he just made up his mind immediately to come out and make himself big, which put their lad off and he scuffed it.

Good to see Tanser back and if TK's knock keeps him out on Saturday I've every confidence he'll be back to his early-season best. Brilliant handling by KH. Jamie Allen too - had the rest he needed and being played in advanced midfield brings out the best in him.

So much to look forward to - and don't be surprised if my prophesy that KH will regroup the lads for another shot at the playoffs starts to come true.

The point is, he made an early decision which forced the forward to take the shot on earlier than he wanted. If he'd stayed planted to his line, he'd have tee'd it up and probably scored.

Crewe were pants. Easy victory that could and should have been more. I personally cannot remember the two shots on target that Crewe had. Dale had 17 shots, 10 on target. Crewe are a very poor side and hats off to their fans who stayed all the way through

Possibly, only saw it once, but from that viewing he still had enough time to finish with ease due to Jones' positioning.

So, you might say that Jones got lucky?

I'd say he made his own luck. How many times do you see keepers getting lucky because they force the forward to make a decision?

That could have been our best home performance of the season. Although we won 4-0 I think credit needs to start with our defence. Crewe are no mugs and some of their interplay up front was good to watch but they came up against a well disciplined back unit, bringing TK back as made a massive difference and I thought he was one of our stand out performers.

Hendo was bang on tonight and I am glad Hill is sticking with Bunney, the more games he gets the stronger he becomes and I think he is the best of Hills options.

Difficult to pick a man of the match they all played well but I would give it to Jack O'Connell . Special mention to Rose, his set play deliveries in the last few home games have been top drawer.

Dale were great tonight, but think our home results against Preston and Wallsal were better, and also thought Crewe were crap. Agree about Rose, my MOM tonight.

Tanser came on for Raff and played right back, but TK took a knock which he seemed to run off ok.

Just speculating that if Tanser had to start at left back on Saturday he'd probably be back to his best.

Not sure I agree totally with all the euphoria. Thought we were average at best first half with little or no cutting edge. Certainly better second half but against what! Poor poor team Crewe. Let's take the points and move on. Oh and Bunney isn't the answer although he did shut me up with two great finishes

Superb from Allen, stand out performer in the 2nd half, that jinking run through 4/5 Crewe players was worth the admission fee, this lads got class!

Rose had a great game, two cracking freekicks in the first half, and his crossing was back to his best, plus the best sliding tackle I've seen in a long time!

I've been a bit critic of Bunney, but he ran his socks off today, putting their defence under pressure, appeared to be a bit fitter too, took his goals superbly. Hendo was back to his best, Vincenti deserved a goal through sheer endeavor.

Big game Saturday to back it up with, finally some good news to shout about

Life is a game of fate.

No euphoria to been seen or heard. Surely it's just a welcome sense of relief at the signs of confidence returning. The first half was bound to be tentative until we established a grip on the game, then the self-belief started to course through the team.
