Don't think anyone has denied that the ballboy was being a bellend. It's also a shame that his actions will subsequently be celebrated because of what happened.
But what a massive tool Hazard is - what on earth possessed him to do that? I agree that he was trying to poke the ball out, but what a stupid way to do it. If he had gone and tried to grab the ball from someone in the crowd, accidentally smacking them in the face while he did so, he would be villified, and rightly so. The fact he did this to a kid (semantics about his exact age aside, he's clearly 1/3 the size of Hazard, not exactly fair is it?) is even worse.
