Not for us, but for Bury.
i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto
BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged
only Wednesday this week.
looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills

From the secret board

We are in the process of setting up a private phoenix forum for those that are interested in pursuing this option.

It will be a gigglane.com forum but private. In order for you to join you will need to pm me, or John or Vinny and verify you are a Bury fan - we will take it on a case by case basis.

If you are brand new user you will need to go through more rigorous checks.

Please ask any questions below and I will do my best to answer.

Christ. What's wrong with these people?

Paranoid beyond belief. "Woe are us, the biggest victims in the world. Ever."

Perhaps they should ask themselves why they are beset with paranoia?

Might it be because in normal times they laud it over all and sundry, and when they hit the buffers, they can't take it back?

Instead, they miss the point, and play the Jealousy card or the Obsessed card.

Total fooking morons. Bolton are everything they want to be, whilst bury are everything we don't want to be.

Poll: Who do you think bury should appoint as their next manager?

Accys chairman as just been on talking about revenue.

Perhaps the efl should compensate these club for the lost income from visiting supporters..

The away around it would be to go off how many supporters visited last time they played.....

I mean theres lots to be baffled about with that statement, but:

"we would like to thank the players who are currently training at Carrington with a view to signing for our brilliant football club"

Seriously, what standard of player is willing to gamble a further two weeks of the season to sign for a club that, right now, is odds on to be facing oblivion? Surely anyone half decent would've moved on as soon as that 14 day sentence was set.

The first conciliatory admission:

”Once we have supplied the EFL with the recently requested additional information, we are confident that our embargo will be lifted.”

Gone is the antagonism towards the EFL in that statement.

An admission that they accept the seriousness of their plight in the next two weeks.

They might survive if they keep that tone up.

What I find utterly baffling is the fact they mentioned carrington, a place they never could afford and is frankly out of the realms of any normal l1, unless they are backed by someone with genuine money.

I would have left that out and maybe thanked the players and mentioned what a tough time it is for everyone, and how much we have appreciated the help and support of other clubs.

The level of incompetence is clearly catching!!!!

Triangular flags, fa cups wins, “historic club”, “brilliant club”, carrington- even a short conciliatory statement and they can’t help bleat on about a history that counts for nothing and a training ground they could never afford

Popular name for a Phoenix Club is 1885 Bury.

Wouldn’t it be right for a new club formed in, for example 2020, to instead be called

2020 Bury or
Bury20

Examples:

Germany

Hanover 96 - formed 1896
Shalke 04 - formed in 1904
1860 Munich - re-established in 1860 after original club failed

Italy

Us Cantezaro 1929 - you get the idea.

The logic is rather simple and precidents abound around the world.

20 20 Bury would be the best as it'd show they'd got their vision corrected

There's a potential £700k to redistribute to L1 clubs should bury lose their league status, from the solidarity payment fund

That works out around £30k for the remaining 23 clubs. Obviously, we'd lose out due to bury bringing a lot more fans here than most other away grounds

Not sure if that's what the efl would do with the money though

Poll: What are you planning to do v Newport
