We've had a week off, Coventry haven't. They are doing well, so are we. We just look like a good team. 2-0 QPR. [Post edited 9 Feb 19:13]

QPR v Fat Frank's Lady Godìva first eleven match thread on 22:25 - Feb 11 by StreathamRanger | I'd agree with this. Also gave a free kick our way when cook and the same player are grappling and cook pulled the blokes shirt clean off. Against Blackburn everyone was screaming for a penalty when Dunne had his shirt nearly ripped off him. I guess what I'm trying to say is you get lucky with some decisions and unlucky with others. Same for every club in the country. |
Agree in general it evens out, frustrating tonight because I thought that was a particularly bad call - can't stand VAR but that's ruled out for sure if it was implemented. Still, I'd take all the bad decisions this year where we appear to be comfortable in mid table (who'd have thought!) if we are going to get them going in our favor next year! | ![](/images/avatars/1392.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

Very true and I also don't think much to the strikers we have had for over a decade which probably makes our corners look worse. It always feels like we lose more games in stoppage time than we win but I haven't seen the stats to determine if that is true. | ![](/images/avatars/1986.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

The bizzare thing is Calm appears to be working on them with the team and either he or Marti mentioned it in an interview. The silver lining for me is the fact I missed the game and did not see Paal or Chair butcher our corners all night then Coventry score at the death from one. It makes me sick/angry ,frustrated to watch Paal run across from corner to corner like he is the chosen one yet still deliver sh*t time after time. Just pull him off the job and Chair also there is 8 other players let them try it cannot be aby worse. Going off this thread it appears we had horrible refs for 3 straight games its another kick in the nuts | ![](/images/avatars/24928.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

My thinking is that it is irrelevant whether Chair and Paal have the ability to take a decent corner or not because when it matters, on matchday, they fail to deliver the vast majority of the time. This has been an issue for several seasons now and yet we keep repeating the same mistake over and over again which is bonkers. Definitely a free kick for their goal, he has a free header because he pushed his marker to the floor. As the more pragmatic of us have said, you win some, you lose some and we move on. Onwards and upwards! [Post edited 12 Feb 0:43]

QPR v Fat Frank's Lady Godìva first eleven match thread on 01:18 - Feb 12 with 1334 views | Northernr | That was incredibly frustrating, because it was a game we could, should, have won. I'd have been disappointed with a 0-0 had it ended that way. I looked at the team to start with and thought not enough mobility and legs in the midfield, but if we stodge it up for an hour we can bring that on from the bench on 60 when they're tired. In the end, it was the opposite. We were the better team for the first hour. The midfield stepped on. Loved Colback's performance. Saito tremendous. Frey, same chance he missed at Plymouth, has to score. I don't care about the keeper doing well. Got to score. We've had good impact from the bench recently, but after the subs we were crap. The midfield became deep and passive. Nardi had a great game, but why on earth are we doing the PRETEND THE GOALKEEPER IS INJURED thing, 8 minutes from time, in a 0-0 away at Coventry, 12th v 13th, to run the clock on a draw? What are we doing here guys? It set the tone. We were lucky to get away with the disallowed goal. We then had 3 corners in 5 mins of stoppage time and fcked them all up, would have been 4 but Paal decided to shepherd the ball out for a throw instead of just banging it back in. If you o that you can't then complain about this foul or that if they get one corner and deliver the fcking thing properly. A huge missed opp. We beat ourselves.

I don't think we did quite enough to win, but at the same time we didn't really/really didn't deserve to lose. Our set pieces really need to improve, though - that's clear - and is an obvious weakness in the coaching Marti needs to address. | ![](/images/avatars/24775.gif) |

Yeh I'm surprised anybody is pitching that. It's a perfectly fair goal. If a referee that pedantic isn't finding fault with it you haven't got a leg to stand on. | ![](/images/avatars/1005.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

QPR v Fat Frank's Lady Godìva first eleven match thread on 02:09 - Feb 12 with 1162 views | VancouverHoop | I'm loathe to call out individuals as we were unable to, or prevented from, organising any co-ordinated pressure in their end. Chair, Saito and Smyth never pressed as a unit as they had against Blackburn. Consequently Frey, who essentially is an "inside the box" striker, had very little to work with. Similarly our back line and DMs never seemed as comfortable as they did last week. In short it was a team loss. We need to learn from it. | ![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

Yeah, I tend to agree. We did some good things tonight, only to come away with nothing. This season may turn out to be a missed opportunity - a couple more wins and we'd be in the top six. As it is, three points above Oxford... | ![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

The challenge where he climbed over the defenders and won the header? Borderline but not really a problem and you'll rarely get that call. But before running in to win that header he shoves cook to the ground (pushes him in the back) so he gets a free run. Maybe we are talking about the same thing though and it just didn't look at excessive from another angle - can't get sky highlights to play overseas so not sure what they showed | ![](/images/avatars/1392.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

Chair loves QPR, is extremely loyal and has constantly been one of our best players for years. Just come off the back of an injury and trouble with the law. Even some of the best players have bad patches (even though he was great last week). Look at some of Harry Kane's tournament games for England. Were we really the better team before the subs? They had 2-3 great chances and a very borderline offside goal. We had some good positions and 1 excellent chance for Frey. You take Colback off and you’re left with 2 defensive midfielders who aren’t the best at moving the team forward. That said , I’m not sure Morgan for Colback would have been my choice. Varane and Field were fine together, we didn’t lose the battle. Saito was our best attacking threat, so when he went off we lost a lot. Smyth also much better than Yang. That said we still They were also a constant threat from every corner they had. As for Nardi going down injured….he’s just doing that to take the “sting” out of the game. He’s not trying to waste time. We were under a bit of pressure. Go down, let defence and midfield reset and calm. We then had moments after where we were the ones trying to win it. There’s no doubt in my mind that we were going for 3 points throughout. | ![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |
