Back to our better selves against Blackburn last week. We've had a week off, Coventry haven't. They are doing well, so are we.

We just look like a good team. 2-0 QPR.

It's a heavy enough push to knock over a very experienced centre half who isn't going to be sitting down when there's a corner to defend, and it's straight in front of the ref who has a completely unobstructed view from ten yards away.

I can understand when you have incidents like Frey's handball where almost no one realised it had happened, but this really wasn't a tough decision to get right, was it?

Regardless, one is an example where the decision went our way (see also Lloyds handball against Blackburn) and one where the decision went against us. I'd rather that than VAR

I'm sure I read somewhere that refs were instructed to let more go in the box if they felt both players are at it. Perhaps he felt cook was giving it back and just got outmuscled. Perhaps he just wasn't looking. Who knows?

So off the scale of contrarianism you should be certified!

He wasn't at his best tonight, but still had just about our best effort on goal, and always showed for the ball and tried to make the play. Half a dozen were off it tonight, and you pick on our best player for years!

He will probably be man of the match against Derby.

AND WHEN I DREAM , I DREAM ABOUT YOU AND WHEN I SCREAM I SCREAM ABOUT YOU!!!!!

Lloyd look like he handle the ball for the goal against Blackburn so it's horses for courses mate.

I've watched the Lloyd one a few times and not sure it is hand ball under current laws but the push on Cook was definitely a foul.

Disappointing to lose tonight at the death which feels like it makes it worse. Think we deserved a point

Season over unfortunately. Got what we deserved after those set pieces. Move Paal on as soon as possible, always said he’s awful and been slated for it. Grateful to not be in the relegation fight and we’ll be seeing fat frank and cov again next season as they’re really not very good. Let’s enjoy the rest of this season and hopefully beat a few of the top teams. Up the rangers as always…

to be fair mate, he is currently (and has been all season) not the Chair of old.

I know it takes time to come back from injury, but its not necessarily his speed that bothers me its his seemingly loss of control of the ball in the last quarter.

We all remember him as a great player that could bend a ball in perfectly, this season (since he has come back) how many goals has he scored? ok, i'll narrow that down slightly, How many goals have come from Chair putting the ball in the right place at the right time.

Sadly i think he's struggling with form still, after the injury, and his road back isnt a smooth one.

He's not been at his best but I think he's had a few assists recently and could have had another if Dunne scores from the header at the back post.

Be interesting to hear what MC says about the goal. He doesn't really blame refs...so he might just say it's one of those things.

Loudly disagree here! Our resurgence has coincided with Kolli's emergence from wherever he was hidden. I recall him coming on for Frey and scored whereas Frey could not put away decent chances. Kolli needs to start. He is faster, puts MUCH better pressure up top, has faster feet and even tends to bring the best out of Illi.

Come on lads let’s not let an unlucky defeat spiral into writing off Chair.

I’m as gutted as anyone as that pretty much season over I reckon but we owe Illy a bit more respect than that

Watched it with my Cov neighbour and he was surprised at how well we played (although admittedly I was supplying the beers)

Looked a foul to me albeit a bit soft. I guess that's the luck from the Frey handball against Luton evening itself out.

Nothing soft about that one. Blatant shove. Weak refereeing.

Gotta take some blame ourselves though, shouldn't have come down to that.

Chair’s one was the worst of the lot.
Neither have the ability to consistently deliver.

Kolli is injured for the foreseeable future unfortunately...but I agree about him being more of a rounded player than Frey.

You know what mate?

I wasnt joking, Chair isnt as good as last season and i believe he just isnt 1st team material.

Normally i'd just not reply to your post but i must have vexed thee in a previous life as thats 3 or 4 times you have not been complimentary or even ambivalent to one of my posts.

Please check back if you want, i've never tried to belittle you, ever! and probably like you ive been here years, and i havnt had this before.

if you think i'm wrong, we are all mates here, just say so, dont try and belittle me in front of all my mates here (yes i think of you all as my mates) And no, i'm not demanding an apology or such nonesense, just common courtesy from yourself and all my fellow members like you should be giving to others.

Look, there's decisions that go your way because they are marginal, or so quick and obscure that they don't get spotted, and I'm sure they all even themselves out over a season. Then there are decisions like tonight's where the officials get it wrong despite them being clear and obvious.

That footage from the camera at the other end CLEARLY shows the ref looking at the foul. His head isn't pointed towards the flight of the ball, it's pointed right at the foul.

The result of Frey/Lloyd's actions may not have been different, but they are not examples of the same thing.

That’s what OldPedro is saying , another ref that seemed to want to keep the home fans happy . That includes a lot of refs at LR this season.

But as I’ve said before there seems to be a refereeing directive this season to ‘make the game as easy as possible’ for yourself .
That usually means keeping the home team happy.
Ref did nothing majorly wrong but gave us very little.

He ain’t the reason we lost though of course .
I thought we did ok in general but the subs weakened us and I know players were tiring but Yang , for example was a big risk at 0-0. He did ok with the ball but he is so inexperienced at this level.

We just look a little disjointed in the last 20 and yet we still had opportunities to go and win the game . Fuming we lost that especially to ‘him’

I'd put money on the fact that he would have blown up for that if he hadn't ruled one out already earlier in the game. Took the cowards way out not wanting to disallow two home goals

Understand Morgan needed a rest after countless starts on a trot. But my goodness we missed him in the middle tonight. So negative, think field attempted 1! Pass into final third all match, and then why varane came on and played number 8 instead of number 6 I’ll never know, looks like a duck out of water on the ball going forward.

Oh well onto derby and I’m hoping varane/field6. Morgan 8 and chair 10 . Think derby will allow us to have the ball and Morgan and chair will be key to building the play up .

Certainly didn’t deserve to win as we played 95 mins without scoring.
Nardi was weak as hell for that corner: had a very good game up until then but Coventry were clearly targeting his weakness at dominating his box for their set pieces and annoyingly the last one of many paid off for them.
Thought Saito was MOTM again: rest of the attacking players were not at it tonight.

I'd agree with this. Also gave a free kick our way when cook and the same player are grappling and cook pulled the blokes shirt clean off. Against Blackburn everyone was screaming for a penalty when Dunne had his shirt nearly ripped off him. I guess what I'm trying to say is you get lucky with some decisions and unlucky with others. Same for every club in the country.

Ever sea a blind alley with no product. Lady and gentleworm i give you Illias Chair.

Not sure why we are keeping him in the first team, at the moment he makes us a player short.

I'm all for other opinions, but this one is certifiable.

Terrible take.

Paal shite. Chair far from shite.

This board, eh!?

Can we go out yet?
