Wigan away 21:10 - Mar 20 with 6204 viewsDomDale

Quick heads up, just been checking transport out for Wigan away. Looks like rail replacement between Rochdale - Victoria on Easter Monday. Good idea to get the tram or a bus into Manchester. Hope for a similar following to yesterday to cheer the lads on!

No trains unless we go from Salford. Worth pinning? I know I was planning on just hopping on the train there.

Oxford Rd and Picadilly n'all.

I've sacked the idea and am going by car instead.

It's a shame as it was a convenient and cheap trip by train, but it's too much faffing about now.

Aye, feeling the same. I've got a 5hr+ drive from Norfolk to Dale though so was hoping the train would help. Should have been an easy train fixture.

There are trains from Picadilly running to Wigan on Monday. Only a 20 minute or so walk across town from Picadilly to Victoria.

Tangled up in blue.

Just realised that I misread the OP. Apologies. As you were.

Just a reminder it's an early kick off on Monday!

13.30

Should be a fine Dale turnout.

Which station do you go to in Wigan? Wigan north west station or Wigan Wallgate station. How far is the ground? What pub is best between the station and ground?

They're across the road from each other. Salford Crescent goes to Wallgate. The Piccadilly ones will go to North Western

Do you know how long it takes to walk to the ground?

Google says 1.2 miles in 22 minutes. I've never personally walked to the ground.

I walked from the station for our game and it's a good 20 minute plus walk and poorly signposted

Those wanting a decent pint should go to Wigan Central, a real ale pub just a 30 second walk from Wigan North Western station
