I know we've had our own issues with ticketing this season, but Colchester's ticketing system must be the worst one I've come across.
- All tickets must be bought online. Absolutely no phone or in-person sales unless for disabled & carer tickets.
- Everyone must register for an account.
- Prices start from £18.50 1-3 weeks before the game, go to £20 in the week before, then £22 on the day
- Colchester fans warning against purchasing on the day due to issues with the system.
Average attendances of 2,400 in a stadium of 10,000 capacity. Why are some clubs so desperate to make it as difficult as possible to enter their grounds at the moment?

Any other Dale Family Rewards Card holders on here not received their reward email for the last few months?
Admittedly, I have had some issues with my email client moving things to junk that shouldn't be there, so there's every chance I missed it, but I don't seem to have received an email since November 2nd with my 'monthly reward'.
Had a quick google, and it seems the club have stopped announcing the rewards on the website too. In August, there was a 10% discount in the club shop, there was a free iFollow pass in September for the Portsmouth game, half-price shirt printing in October and 20% off all training wear in November, but I can't find anything else in my emails or on the website since then. |

Apologies to all the NFL fans but a technical issue with the other thread was stopping people from being able to read the later posts. We aren't sure what happened here so thought it was easier to lock the previous thread and start a new one. I won't delete the thread so people can go back and read it if needs be, but it's locked now.
(Really hoping someone starts an NBA thread when we get going in a week or so! Just me? Oh). |

Moving things back to football...
One of the ideas for a podcast topic that we've had is to talk about players we'd have loved to have seen in a Dale shirt, so for some inspiration I thought I'd ask - if you could have signed one player from an opposition team, who would it be? (Trying to keep it as realistic as possible, I don't think Harry Kane was about to jump ship from Spurs).
Kevin Ellison has to be up there for me. I remember when he signed for Morecambe my Dad said we should have gone for him but I told him he was too old. 9 years, 340 appearances and 81 goals later I think I've been proven wrong. Always got under the skin of opposition players and fans, could play in a few different positions and seemed to carry a constant threat, even in his advancing years.
On the other end of the scale - which players are you glad we never signed? I remember being quite heavily linked with both Tes Bramble and Shaun Harrad in the past only for both to sign for different local sides and neither quite lived up to expectations. Expensive bullets dodged on both occasions I think. |
