Saints Internationals Linked With Summer Exits

Redandwhitesupporter takes a look at the news that two of the squad might be leaving whether we stay up or not.

Two of Saints' international stars have been linked with moves away from the club this morning in the media with the reports stating both Ryan Bertrand and Dusan Tadic will seek moves away regardless of whether the club remains a Premier league side or not.

According to the Daily Mirror, Bertrand has eyed up for a reunion with his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, however the report also states he face competition from former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham, and Rafa Benitez at Newcastle United, however if either of the former sides interest is concrete you wouldn't give the latter much chance of completing a deal.

The current England left back will no doubt be high in demand this summer, with his performances on the pitch this year perhaps already hinting to fans he is planning for life away from the south coast, with the prospect of relegation looming large for Saints in will be difficult stand in his way should the club fall through the premier league's trap door in May.

Serbian playmaker Tadic is another to be touted with a move away, with reports in his native country and Italy stating a move to Serie A beckons come the summer window, with Milan of either AC or Inter the hinted destination.

Both players although quality footballers, haven't hit the heights of previous years this season and have have had criticism from supporters for being disinterested during games at times so perhaps a break will be of the interest to both parties regardless of the outcome this season.

No doubt this will be the first, in many stories linking players away from Saints given our league position at present.

The club and players need to put all this too one side, and fully concentrate on the job at hand over the next seven games and nobody wants a relegation on their CV.

A re build of the squad is well needed this summer and it will be interesting to see what happens come the end of the season once again.
